For Bush it would be classified amnesty because he was the author of the program for all his corporate cronies and their desire for CHEAP labor!
Will it pass? Not as easily in the congress with democrats in control!
You should be writing your congressman/woman with your veiws because these illegals are taxing every social program this country has without ever paying a penny into the system!
They get free health care, social services, tax free earnings, etc at our expense so corporate America can have cheap labor and keep more of the profits for themselves! It is a sad day in the riches country in the world that anyone makes $5-$6 an hour in the year 2007!!!!!!!
The Dems are in control now and they favor immigration reform so I expect it to pass. Since Bush supports it, it will pain the Dems to do so but they will.
Unfortunately when Ronald Reagan started the amnesty, he opened up a hole in the bottom of the ship and now it's so full of illegals trying to cut to the front of the line it's sinking. I am sorry that I voted for Bush. But look at what choices we had. It will be twenty years before we ever get another conservative for a president. That's how much damage he has done to the American people. Can you imagine liberals for twenty years. We will be living in caves and wiping our asses with our hand.

The presidente of Mexico is demanding that Bush push an "immigration reform" bill through Congress. El Presidente is against America building a border fence because he wants Mexicans to be able to come into the US and get jobs and social services at their will.
"Comprehensive Immigration Reform" is a code phrase for amnesty. Bush plans to give over 12 million illegal aliens citizenship (most of them are Mexican). The leaders of the effort to give amnesty to 12 to 28 million illegals (nobody knows how many aliens are in this country) are the greatest traitor to America since Benedict Arnold, Senator Ted Kennedy, and Senator Juan Open Borders McCain.

There should be no amnesty whatsoever. Lots of criminals and murderers and drug dealers are hard working too. They are hard working criminals and belong in jail because they are not working for the good of the country or for the people. People who come into the country have not proven anything except that they are takers and have no respect for American Citizens or for the law in general. To allow them to stay and work and have babies and then reward them for having those babies by allowing the babies to be citizens, is insurrection and treason. We citizens need to explain daily and continually, the dangers of allowing illegal entry into the USA and we need to demand uniform law enforcement -- equal treatment under the law for everyone. Children born to illegal immigrants who are left in daycare centers and at schools when immigration raids occur should be taken into CPS custody (we're paying for them anyway) and then give them the opportunity to go back to their country of origin with their parents. Children born to illegal immigrants on US soil should not be considered citizens of the USA because they are children of lawbreakers and invaders. Their citizenship should be stripped and they should be returned to their parents' countries of origin with their parents. I really don't care about their poor mouthing and lying and deceit and their accusations of inhumane treatment. Citizen children of lawbreakers are left to fend for themselves continually and become wards of Child Protective Services.
We, the people, need to become vocal in the form of flooding our legislators with phone calls and letters and post cards that indicate our desires to have our borders secured and our laws enforced. We should also demand an investigation of all the illegal immigrant support organizations and arrest and try them for treason and seize all their assets.
I don't believe there will ever be an amnesty.
I say this because the illegals at least most of them, DO pay social security taxes that will never be used by them, unless they become residents or citizens.
It wouldn't be in our government's best interest to give them the chance for legal residency.
This is why the government has taken so long (30 years) to make a decision about it......they have too good a deal right now. Illegals never ever file tax returns, so all that money is never given back to them after they overpay on taxes.
dont u understand that immigration reform IS amnesty. C'mon now u guys should know this by now. Amnesty is definitely a thing in the near future! Bush is a sitting duck I dont think anyone in congress listens to him at this point i know i try not to.
What are the chances of "that" reform to pass? Well, there's a good chance that it will be passed. But who knows what will happen. I personally hope it is passed.
I am not at all for what he is pushing and I pray to God that is does not go thru.
