This should have been done a long time ago. But if it is done right, it will take a long time. There is so much corruption surrounding their trial, it reeks to high heaven. Not only should the Mexican government's role be investigated, but so should the U.S. Attorney General and his office.
There were quite a lot of people involved in this farce they called a trial who lied and have gotten away with it. I wanted President Bush to pardon these men, but now that there is going to be an investigation, I am glad he didn't. I want the corruption to be exposed, so they can't do it again. I do hope there is a way they can get out while the investigation is conducted. I would be great for them to be reunited with their families.

If Bush cared anything about his"legacy" he would pardon them.Instead of his approval rating be 25% it would probably jump to 35-40%.
I hope so....Its about time that this was investigated, and I hope the US Attorney General gets investigated for his part in this also. He should have his feet held to the fire for any part that he played in assuring that Ramos and Campeon were prosecuted (if wrongly prosecuted) or in issuing such a ridiculously high sentence.

It's about time. These men are American heroes. To be treated the way they have is horrific. A person can illegally enter this country, and not a darn thing is done to them. Excuses like"They are just trying to feed their families." Ramos and Compean have families too. I guess because they are American, they aren't important.

it would be wonderful to see that since from all accounts all they were doing was their job and for that they get prosecuted. The attorney general even let a drug dealer have more pull than the agents the ones that had to pass tests ect and have background checks to do the job are not more credible than a drug dealer hopefully we shall finally see justice done
Maybe they can also declare the SPP against the Constitution while they are at it to! I am SURE that it will come up during the hearings!
It would be nice to see them released and for justice to work in this case. For shooting that lowlife drug dealer in the a.s.s. they are true American heroes, and whoever was complacent in prosecuting them should be tried for treason.
