If we stop illegal immigration you can go work in the fields for 2.50 an hour, you can go be the moving truck guy in the summer who drives across country every day so his kids can eat, you can be the orange, apple and lemon picker who works by the bushel, and you can remember that they leave mexico for a reason and if you were born there you would want to leave too. also remember we welcome immigrants from the middle east from this damned war we started all the time and cubans come up here aplenty. we draw out the process for illegals from mexico so they will give up but instead they go get a job, pay taxes, and try to enjoy their life to some small degree after the 12 hour days they put in to feed their children and worry if they get deported what will happen to their american children. You are probably one of the few people who does believe in bush as he has (personally) killed 3800 americans by his war on power. noone else in america goes out and kills people for the reasons he has. I dont think it will get better untill we get someone with morals in the white house though I have no idea who that might be. Remember when you go to church tomorrow that you are a hypocrite if you want to keep them from having a chance at the same things your children aunts brothers and sisters have. Think how many americans want to do the factory jobs here in the midwest that they do? Very few. Which means that unless they pay alot more you wont get your tyson chicken for instance without them. they do jobs we dont want to do and in return they get the chance for their children to better themselves it is always 2-3rd gen before you see quality of life rise considerably. President Bush is about to sign a bill that includes amnesty for 20 million illegal aliens. Its going to be more like open borders which is what the Mexicans want. Too bad for the rest of us.
We need to secure our borders there is no question about it, but we don't need to tear apart families in that process. There needs to be a more realistic approach on how to handle illegal immigrants who are here and contribute to to the state they live in. How do you think a child would feel who has lived here all their lives to have their mother or father or both taken away?
Unfortunately most Americans have been let down by 'America' and its economy. I would love to enforce border control at my border but I CAN'T. I have to live the supposed American Dream by working and barely being able to pay bills. Our economy is booming 'eh... LOL what a joke.
That idiot 2 or 3 ansers above me is, well, an idiot. The reason they get treated so terribly and paid so horribly is because they are in no position to ask for anything else. Beggers can't afford to be choosers and big business knows that. If those companies had to hire actual citizens to do those jobs they WOULD HAVE to pay them better.

Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
