Why do certain politicians keep saying our immigration system is broken?
Answer:
You're right, it's not broken. Of course those laws won't work if they aren't enforced! We don't even need an immigration reform bill. We need to enforce laws.
For those who say "You can't deport those 12 million people" We don't have to deport them to get rid of them. Here is a simple solution. Fine employers who hire illegal immigrants and landlords that rent to them. They will "self deport" Please stop saying that the only possible solution is to give them citizenship.
looks like you answered your own question...enforce the law...pass it on
It is to them as they are weak very weak dumb leaders.
you just answered your own question.....why do people ask questions and then answer them?
Anyway, how can you enforce it with more than 12 million illegals here? Do you expect them to go door to door and see who's legal or not?
Let me go knock on your door and make you prove to me that you're here legally..if I think your birth certificate is fake, I'll throw you out of here....YEAH RIGHT!!
It's not going to happen! How can you track down more than 12 million illegals? I want some good ideas!
You want it enforced long enough to screw the American public?
It seems broken to me. I live in Texas. Since 2004 I've been traveling the U.S. for business on a regular basis. Everywhere I go I see illegal immigrants or hear about them from local law enforcement.
It's not just Mexicans but they are the bulk of the problem. The owners of the Federal Reserve want illegals to come and live here so that we'll have to have increased taxes and more government welfare programs to "take care" of people who won't take care of themselves.
In 1900, the average American paid 5% of their annual earnings to support local, state and federal government and long-term public debt was essentially unheard of. Just 100 years later, the average American found themselves paying over 33% of their earnings in the form of taxes and the combined public debt (local, state and federal) was so unbelieveably outrageous that no one bothered to count it all much less do a single thing about it.
If you're happy with the current course America is on I suggest you vote for one of the puppets running for President (Clinton, Obama, Edwards, Guiliani, McCain, Thompson, Romney...the list goes on) and keep on being good Democrats or Republicans. If you want to get screwed keep supporting the Federal Reserve as a privately owned corporation.
If, on the other hand, you're actually an American Patriot then it's time to join the Revolution. It's time to vote the bastards out! Vote Ron Paul or vote Libertarian or whatever it is that the 2-party parrots will call throwing your vote away when it's them that are flushing America down the toilet by continuing to harbor their hallucinations that everything is just fine and dandy and the Federal Reserve is not a privately owned corporate bank.
You have a choice. Keep paying your taxes as they continue to go up and make sure you carry your National ID Card with you at all times so the government can harass and collect from you as often as they deem necessary. Or you can try something else.
I agree with shorty. All you want to do is throw out 12 mil people. That's not plausible. I don't think there is another solution other than to bring everyone out of the shadows offer a path to legalization. And when everyone comes out then you can weed out the bad seeds. It is not logical to think u an throw out 12 mil people
well our law enforcement deport 1% of all illegal immigrants
our border look like a colander
we send back 1 illegal by deport him
and 6 new illegal they enter in our country
is like try to hold water in your hands
our immigration system is not just broken
is like we don't have anymore an immigration system
except for those land in this country from a international airport like do!!
shorty 1 you make sense. Finally someone realistic on here.I was beginning to wonder. Thumbs up for you !
EZWIDER.have you given ANY THOUGHT to what leaving 12 million people without jobs or homes would do to crime rates?I really wouldn't want to make that many people desperate would you?
Because it's not made for what they want to do with it. It's sad they want to fic it, they even say it broken--but no! they are simoply ignoring it, to get what they want.
It is the very ones, like Ted Kennedy that passed the amnesty in 1986. Fool me once shame on you,, Ted, shame me twice shame on the American people for allowing these clowns to once again grant amnesty under the guise of Border Security
Those that have been bought and paid for by big business are the ONLY ones that are saying that the "immigration system is broken".
As you point out, immigration laws are not being enforced. That fact is one that many seem to want to ignore. To ignore such makes what they want to present easier to suggest such is true vs. looking at the reality of the facts.
What really bothers me is that they want to liberalize the immigration system while the countries on both sides of us are making strong, not weakening, their own immigration laws.
Why so few have even considered such does make me wonder how they breathe with their head so far beneath the sand away from the reality that other countries evidently have already caught on to.
With such an approach, it would really surprise me if there is not another attack on American soil is such an approach is taken.
People in America need to wake up to the real world that we live in.
