We want to prevent those things from happening in our own country FIRST! This is the United States of America not the United States of the World.
They don't hate America. They just hate stupid people.

Anyone who supports our laws being broken and our country and flag being trampled on shouldn't even call themselves an American,they should just leave the country with their head held low.

I wouldn't go so far as to call it Anti-American, I tend not to agree with the asker, but that is wha makes America America. This person can express this opinion and you can express an opposing opinion, and no one is going to arrest either of you. It isnt someone who hates freedom, they are just using that freedom to express their opinion.
what the hell enforcing the law means standing for what this country is established on and nothing else that prevents these things just because americas a free country doesnt mean you can do anything and get away if our laws are enforced less of that would be happening
If you're a law abiding citizen who is against people breaking our laws, you're anti-American and hate freedom? There is a legal way to enter this country. When you do get here, legally, assimilate. Don't expect to live your culture in our culture. If your culture was so good then why are you willing to leave your culture. Keep your customs, bring your religion, bring your foods, but learn English, and try to learn why you're now living in the greatest country in the world.
I guess that's why everyone has an opinion-
In my humble and obviously most of the world's opinion- immigration laws should be enforced to protect a countries sovereign borders and to benefit the citizens within it's borders.
All over the world every nation has immigration laws in place and illegal immigrants are prosecuted and deported- that might be because it is legislation founded by sound reasoning not dribble spouted by a bleeding heart.
So then we are not suppose to care about laws? We are suppose to allow everyone to do anything they want? America stands for freedom, laws, and fairness.
You may feel that we are anti-American and that we hate freedom but you are so WRONG. We can only be totally free if we obey the laws. I agree with the asker of the referenced question!
People must take responsibility for their actions. How is it our responsibility to take care of the whole world? It is MEXICO'S responsibility to take care of THEIR citizens, not ours!

the political battle over this is so baffling. We have the people that say they are here to help the workers, wanting to grant amnesty, and we have the people that want to help business stopping amnesty... it doesnt make any sense.. its almost like a complete reversal of beliefs.
What do you think is going to happen when all of the sudden we have 20 million unskilled, uneducated, cheap foreign workers that can now legally get jobs?
if im an employer, and i see the roughly 4.6% (this is the last one i remember) unemployment, things are getting tight. I need to give something to my workers, so they wont leave.. perhaps i will offer then health care or higher wages. but what happens when i see unemployment at 10%? this changes everything. you have 20 million people looking for work.. i no longer have to give my employees decent pay, because i can afford to fire them, because i know 12 people will be inline ready to replace that worker.
amnesty would be an absolute disaster for the workers in this country. what is happening in these illegals home country would eventually find a place in america. we would have the suffering, the unemployment, the misery, the skyrocketing prices, the dropping wages, simply because some people dont think about the consequences of amnesty.
