Immigration help needed - USA!?

I am on H1B. I want to quit the job and go back to my home country. Do I have any grace period to leave USA? Also, can my employer terminate my visa before my last date of employment even though I have given 2 weeks notice? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Answer:
contact www.doleta.gov or us immg at www.usics.gov if you here on thier request, the employer you are no longer free to wander the us. it also depends on that nation you are from.
What country are you from depends on what type of action you can take
There is really no "grace period" for you to leave when you're on an H-1B. If you quit, be ready to leave asap. As for the other scenario, you should talk to the person who filed the H-1B paperwork for you (either the lawyer or immigration advisor for the company). Technically, if you're fired before the end of your H-1B petition, they are required to pay for your trip back home. I have a feeling that your specific scenario is a gray area with lots of interpretation.
