How long does it take to get a fiance visa approved with Immigration in America??

My Thai GF & I are planning to marry and I understand the fastest way is to apply for a Fiance Visa in America and once that is approved, she can come to America and we can get married.

How long does it take to get the Fiance Visa approved??

Answer:
3 to 12 months
Figure 6 months to a year.
Having the Visa approved doesn't take long at all. However, the entire process from filing the petition, visa application once there is an approved petition and forwarded to the US Consulate/Embassy, can take 12 months or more all up when you consider also the time it can take for the consular section to schedule interviews. Some schedule interviews in a matter of weeks, some a few months, and others several months.

In a nutshell your are looking at anything from a couple of weeks to several months for a petition to be approved, and a few weeks to several months for an interview to be schedule. As you can see it is almost impossible to guage how long the entire process will take to visa in hand. Will the fiance visa be your quickest route? Usually, but not always.

You can find lots of resources, experiences etc at http://www.familybasedimmigration.com/fo... They also have great guides for visa options and filing the petitions.
