My question as well. We are going to have to do drastic things to get our borders sealed but we as Americans are up to the task. We've proven our ablitiy to get things done, now let's do it! I think that GW is just GW and not quite bright enough to get anything done properly. He has proven it again and again!
The border fence will not be effective because there is no teeth to the thing. It might slow down migrants, but they will simply use a ladder or tunnel under the thing. The only way a fence may be effective is if there is force backing it up.
Now does anyone really think the American people are going to go along with sharpshooters shooting migrants as they try to climb over this thing. I just can imagine the media and public reaction to images of the first person getting shot trying to cross the border.
Exactly. Because the immigration bill didn't pass, the money to build the fence is being withheld. Doesn't make any sense. We have to give amnesty to criminals before building a fence? Unbelievable.

Your fence is(probably like the trailers that fema has rotting away in a field) sitting in a warehouse that has no manager to allocate the work. One of the easiest ways to resolve this problem is to enforce labor laws and increase fines against employers that do hire illegal immigrants. If the fines are stiff enough then the employers will think twice before trying to employ anyone that is illegal just so they can have huge profit margins. The main culprit is greed.
