Why do people say that illegals protest and demand services?

Hi guys, I follow the immigration debate closely here on answers ... People say that illegals 'demand' access to services, rights, and feel a general sense of entitlement.

Do illegals actually 'demand' that services be in Spanish?

I have read this, in relation to 'aztlan' and 'la raza'.

My desire to be informed on this topic is sincere: can somebody point me to articles, or sources describing these demands that illegals make? I am looking for an incident, etc., so that I know what people are upset about on this forum.

Answer:
They don't have to demand the services, they just show up and receive them anyway. Hence, even if they are not out marching and actually asking for the services, our school, welfare, and medical systems are providing them. I am all about trying to be as humane as possible, but we also have to be responsible as well.

There are obligations created when we pay our city, county, state, and federal taxes to then be entitled to the services that our governments have set in place.

One argument I keep hearing is that a lot of illegals are paying most of the same taxes. Well, how do we even begin to know what "a lot of illegals" means and how much is "most" of the same taxes. I know that if every last cent of my taxes aren't paid, I will be in deep trouble. Because we have no way to track their taxes on a whole, we have no way to verify what is being paid. And yet, when our school system can't pay for the schools it needs to build each year, it's people like me that get hit with the bill.

How fair is that? And, most of the time, if I raise a question concerning the inequality of that, I am the one branded a hateful, racist, bigot, blankety-blank. Just like the ones that defend the illegals by saying "Oh, they are just trying to better themselves and their families", then that is my stance as well. Don't fault me because I am simply doing what I think is right to better myself and my family.
Yes.
for god's sake woman...just turn on your television once in a while...you'll see everything you need to see, everyday and on any station!...sheesh...
they have brought suit with the help of the communist group called the ACLU against towns, employers, boarder patrol...where have you been? check the news!
Yes
Yes, they do. One example is the protests this year and last. Part of what they were marching for was amnesty, which in my book is demanding citizenship.

Ever see some of the posts on here? Some people say things like "This is OUR country now. Get over it."

The one company I used to work for had many people who spoke Spanish. They would insist that they spoke no English, and demand that translators be brought in. But, let there be an error on their paycheck, or a question about deductions, and suddenly their English was fine. I saw it happen first hand several times (yes, these people were legal, but the point is demanding Spanish).
Yes when things started to be in Spanish as well as English it was in response to law suits filed back in the 60'S. I join with others who say that if things are in Spanish than why not Italian or Russian or Portuguese or German or whatever, the language of this country is English and why should one group be catered to when the others aren't
Well I can relay some info, I work with special needs children in Az, most of them are hispanic, during meetings we always need an interpreter and many times it is not because the parents don't speak english it is because they refuse to speak english, also I was in a meeting 3 weeks ago where the district was trying to get a special device for this one child and the social worker was trying to tell the parent we can't aquire the funds for this device untill you become a citizen but the parent thought that she should get this very expencive piece of equiptment without becoming a acitizen.I live 20 minutes from the boarder and I can tell you from experience, not all, but many of the mexicans in this town are disrespectful to the country that helps them the most and we have let it go on for so long that when we try to put our foot down now, they think it is just a joke.It is kind of like if you and I were boyfriend/ girlfriend and I moved into your house, started putting up pictures of another girl and telling you that I like her better but I live with you because you have a nicer place.
Thank you for your observation. Because you are right on the money! How I did not think of such a question surely has /had to do with debating with arrogant individuals that make no sense. Plus I am their type of candidate regarding immaturity but mine is intentional(LOL)
While theirs is reality or possibly for being a certain kind of breed that does not go out doors once in a while simply to built up their daily dose of anger!
They wont be able to show you articles about illegals demanding. Because most people that are protesting are not illegals, and nobody is demanding they are asking
these ppl take over everything i mean like im in the army and even here they are always speaking spanish and thats very disprespectful.just shows what america is coming to
Its true, all true,,,,,,,,
Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !
actually, yes, a town down south was sued for not 'having enough police and emergency responders' who spoke spanish, and the fact that the order to disburse the protest in LA was in English when protesters started throwing bottles and rocks at police is being framed as one reason why the police, not the protesters, were at fault. The biggest problem is that we teach children illegally here English and Spanish in our schools, using a disproportionate portion of our children's education funds to do it. Then when an equally less educated American and that less educated illegal apply for a low skill job, the illegal gets preference because they can speak to Spanish only speaking workers.

This doesn't hit me, but it certainly does seem unfair that their poor and unskilled get jobs in preference to ours, in our own country. In Mexico there is a law that foreigners must speak fluent Spanish to work there.
The americans doesn't know nothing about illegals, we (illegals) are not elegibles to demand services here in usa. Is this too dificult to understand??
If the america (usa) governors are trying to legalize us is because they (governors) know we are really important and we are giving more than we are receiving.
