Why don't we all write letters to the Congress or do something to let those ppl know what americans want?

In the mass media a single top down version that a few Elites wish us to see events, and thus structure all results to their benefit, is their preferred ways.
Indeed they apparently employ right wing trolls even here to advance their agenda. So they must know why it is important.
But uniquely in history, at least since the invention of the printing press, alternative views are possible. Because of that ideas and knowledge can be transfered laterally as well as upwards, as without lateral dissemination the upwards part would be small and ineffectual.
The upward transmission is necessary, but to have voice it must be overwhelming. Without the internet and the mental sword play is such places as this, ideas that might not be well thought out, can be tested and when thrust upward, contain the leaner power, achieved by such testing, as well the broader awareness that will give the ideas force.
They won't listen...they only listen to American business and corporations.

Ive asked this question before and got the same answer. Most people on here have contacted their senators and Representatives in congress. I have called, written, faxed, and talked to people everywhere i go about this issue. We all need to do this.. But sometimes i don't get how our congress doesn't seem to care about what the people think. I guarantee they are getting bombarded by people stating do not pass this new bill. These people are the citizens in this country who live by our laws and pay taxes. If they vote on this bill, they are going against what a democracy is and going towards the big business, powerfull people, and the craziest of all.. what other country's leaders think and the illegals which are here in the country.. I swear, this issue drives me crazy. But i agree, everyone should contact congress and tell them to vote no on this bill

They know what the majority of citizens want, but they are looking at their political banks, as well as the hurt it will cause to the largest industry in this nation - the Agricultural Industry (as in farmers, herders, and the like). They account for over 60 % of the exports from this country, and they are stating they will be financially strapped if they lose their illegal workers.

I fax,email,call,write quite often.I make it clear to them that if they support this bill I will do everything in my power to make sure they NEVER get re-elected.It works because we all know 99.9% of them are sissies.
I did, the point is to get everyone else on here to do it.
I call every damn day! We need to stop Congress from selling us out to "BIG BUSINESS". And I will continue to call every damn day! NO AMNESTY FOR ILLEGALS! ARREST AND DEPORT, NOW!
Writing and calling has done no good. I have been doing that for over a year. I get letters and emails back from them telling me all the stuff they are doing, and plan on doing, but nothing, absolutely nothing on illegal immigration. All they say is "I understand your concerns."
Marching sounds like a better idea. Let's do it.
Why don't you compose this needed letter, make copies and you and your friends can hit the streets and get people who think like you to sign it. get 200 signatures per letter and mail it off instead of venting on MyTend.com ?
I already wrote my Congressman and told him what I wanted. I WANT a better bill passed. A REAL AMNESTY BILL. A BILL THAT GIVES THE 12 MILLION IMMIGRANTS, ALREADY HERE, COMPLETE AMNESTY AND THOSE WHO HAVE BEEN HERE OVER TWO YEARS, I want them to have a GREEN CARD. I wish it was possible to incorporate MEXICO into THE U.S.A. like ALASKA AND HAWAII then their economy could get better and there would be no need for a border.

I've been pestering Congress for ten years. It get's old after a while. It's like having a bunch of thieves watching the bank: you have to keep your eye on them all the time or they'll rob you blind.
I have been emailing Mel Martinez Fl. everyday about this immigration reform. I am doing my part, but I am also willing to march in the streets if someone were to get a rally set up.
Today, as congress people are returning to (work?). they are saying that Americans are changing their minds. How did they determine this? Because last week, when the fury was at its peak, and hundreds of thousands of constituents emailed, faxed and called their reps, the congress was worried. Now that a week has passed (holiday weekend included) and Americans aren't on the phones, sending faxes and emails, the Congress thinks that Americans now approve of the bill.
We must keep up the pressure. Do not relent. Call these people today, send them emails, send them faxes. If we allow them to pass this bill, Americans will regret it and The illegals will take it as a sign that they can do as they please!!!
I called 2 day 2 my state offical Florida hiding under his desk as usual. Phone been busy all the time either a lot of calls or the phone on hold. So e/mail sent letters let them now how you feel.No Amnesty & Close the borders. Enforce the laws we have.
I HAVE done that. When I mention the SPP or North American Union they act stupid like they don't have a clue what it is.
As far as the illegal aliens they say that they can't just deport 12,000,000 illegal aliens back to their country of origin...when I say how about enforcing current laws, they sit dumb founded and make more excuses about the problem we have right now.
The only congressman who will actually LISTEN to the people and not act stupid in my district is our Representative.
Because the goverment doesn't listen to the people in the first place. they do what they think will benift them to make money. I also agree stop complaning so much about immigrants. Stop being so racist.
