EAD's by the year can they be renewed as long as the holder wants?



Answer:
It depends on how you got your EAD. If you got it through green card process, you can renew it until you have your green card approved.

If you got it through school or what they call Optional Practical Traning (OPT), you cannot renew it. You have to have your company sponsor you a work visa or H1B visa.
