I have always been a Republican and now I notice a lot of negative blogs from other Repubs against Bush. Why?

I am not happy with the fact he didn't help us against big oil gouging and now his insistence that this immigration bill is not amnesty when anyone who can read and think can see that it is. The trillion dollar venture in Iraq, I believe, is about to run its course regardless of political affiliation. These are bad, but what else does anyone have to complain about?

Answer:
Those GOPs making negative blogs against Bush are realists and they love America. A political party is not a name only, it's the ideological principles that it stands for and once a person or the party itself becomes bereft of these principles, then it forfeits support from anyone. That is what's happening with Bush.
He is acting like a dictator, he has said many times he will do whatever he wants, regardless of congress, and it he does nothing but lie, and play stupid.
Bush is not a Republican. He and his family are opportunists, and the Republican party gave them the best vantage for their machinations.
The war in Iraq, which is killing Americans for no reason as some people feel. Also Hurricane Katrina is a huge failure for him and one that many still keep in their hearts ( and deal with to this day)
Republicans are not blind followers...we have healthy divergent opinions on issues.
You should know this...You've probably always been a Republican, maybe longer than me.
Being a Republican DOES NOT mean you have to agree with a Republican president.

Same goes for the Democrats.

There is too wide a range of social, governmental, financial, military, etc, issues to pigeon hole anybody into one party mentality.

In fact, those who step aside and make same-party critiques are the same ones who will have a positive impact on society.

Our government was never designed to be one-party, one-way only. We need discussion. We need dissent.

I feel sorry for those who don't see that. Lots of other countries use that no-dissent policy. Try North Korea, Cuba, Iran, for example. You do see that, right?

Let Republicans criticize. In fact, if you aren't happy with the two largest agendas on the front desk, you should be doing a little of that negative blogging as well.

Force Bush into a course of action...not a course of destruction.

I mean, really, he won't listen to ANYBODY...so we really need to shoot some heavy duty torpedoes at the fellow to get something to happen.
I have always been Independent...though i find myself leaning more toward the conservative...however..i am not a Republican...One thing ..i have supported President Bush...concerning The War...because he was making a definite statement to the world..against Terrorism.I still think it was the right thing to do. Lately however i do not agree at all with the Idea of Amnesty for Illegal Aliens ...and this has nothing to do with Hispanics...it has to do with "illegals". Its like what part of "illegal" do they not understand?...I sense a mass migration of voters leaning more towards Independent political mindsets. Both the Republican and Democratic Party's have lost their vision..and become embroiled in "Being Politically Correct"..at the expense of common sense. Not a good recipe for leading a Country.
I'm a Republican Because...
I BELIEVE the strength of our nation lies with the individual and that each person’s dignity, freedom, ability and responsibility must be honored.
I BELIEVE in equal rights, equal justice and equal opportunity for all, regardless of race, creed, sex, age or disability.
I BELIEVE free enterprise and encouraging individual initiative have brought this nation opportunity, economic growth and prosperity.
I BELIEVE government must practice fiscal responsibility and allow individuals to keep more of the money they earn.
I BELIEVE the proper role of government is to provide for the people only those critical functions that cannot be performed by individuals or private organizations and that the best government is that which governs least.
I BELIEVE the most effective, responsible and responsive government is government closest to the people.
I BELIEVE Americans must retain the principles that have made us strong while developing new and innovative ideas to meet the challenges of changing times.
I BELIEVE Americans value and should preserve our national strength and pride while working to extend peace, freedom and human rights throughout the world.
FINALLY, I believe the Republican Party is the best vehicle for translating these ideals into positive and successful principles of government.
Even Ann Coulter is doing a hat dance on ole Georges eggs.

"NO DRUG SMUGGLER LEFT BEHIND!" Bush is loosing it you better do a double take on the immigration bill. I have lost all faith in Bush.
It's time for the Republican's open their's Eyes and Mind..
How Fuc# - up Bush is.. Bush is trying to run our Country,, his way or the Hiway.
I am a republican I went to see Bush before he was elected. Did I think he was perfect? NO! But, I did feel that he was the only real choice we had. Still, (after 8 years) feel that he was the best choice we had. However, he is NOT A TRUE CONSERVATIVE. A true conservative is much more fiscally responsible. G.W. spends our money like a drunken sailor. I am also thoroughly disgusted with the border situation. Most of all though I am very dissapointed that everything we stand for in a fiscal sense apparently G.W. dosen't believe in. President Bush has presided over the largest overall increase in inflation adjusted federal spending since Lyndon B. Johnson.(This excludes spending on defense and homeland security.) He is the biggest spending president in 30 years. Everything I told my liberal friends about what conservatives believe in during his campaign has made me look like a liar (which I am not) True republicans believe in SMALLER GOVERNMENT. The republicans in this term instead of calling themselves the GOP should call themselves the GOSP ( grand old spending party.) If you want to read a very good book explaining some of the republicans disgust with G.W. please read Bernard Goldbergs new book.. Crazies to the left of me, Wimps to the right. This is a man that was a liberal in his youth but then became a conservative. I don't agree with everything he says but at least 98% of it. I think in this book you would have your question answered much more thoroughly. Thanks for letting me vent! Good question!
The whole thing is focused on one word, BLOG. It's a personal feeling and when they say they are republicans, they could be and in many cases are lying. It's a typical ploy of the far left.
Will the last man left supporting George Bush please bring the flag. That could be you by the sound of it dude.
If your in this forum "immigration"...and you dont know why Bush sucks!!!~ how much more clearer does it need to be?....no offense but...you must be dumb or lying?
Since you have been a Republican for a long time have you gave the "great" conservative Ronald Reagan his due for granting amnesty in 1986? How about his record spending deficits during his tenure?
Maybe Bush is just following what your party likes.
