Those that have come to the US are mostly good citizens; I know of a grocery store nearby that some are running. But the real problem is stopping the violence in the country, and much of it is Iraqi against Iraqi. The US can help the government try to get things under control, but neither the coninued presence nor the absence of US involvement will necessarily help.

I have sympathy for the Iraqi people, especially the women, children and the elderly but we must be very careful when taking in refugees for security reasons.
The offending countries need to be fixed not move everyone to the US or the UK, we can only stand so much before we buckle beneath the weight of our humanity, other options DO exist besides enveloping them into the US or the UK, one that comes first to mind would be for us to get out of their country and begin the healing.

I would welcome them here, with open arms. They could probably qualify for asylum, where as with the Illegal mexicans, they are not fleeing religious persecution, war, or political oppression.
