Why do Mexicans and Americans hate each other so much?

Mexicans are not normally hateful people. Mexicans love America, and many want to live here. It is the ignorant Americans who express much hatred against Mexicans.
They don't hate each other. Why do you feel that way?

I am an American and I don't hate Mexicans...I have a problem with ILLEGAL immigrants, irregardless of where they came from or why, and other CRIMINALS, but I hold no grudges against anyone just because they happen to be from a certain country...why do you hate them enough to even ASSUME that Mexicans and Americans hate each other?
Actually Mexico and America are on quite friendly terms, politically. Americans have issues with illegal immigration, true, but there's no hate involved. Mexico, btw, doesn't want Americans (or anyone else) immigrating to their country either, they have some of the strictest immigration laws in the world.
But the two countries hate each other? Hardly. We're friendly, very friendly.
My hatred is growing...I never used to feel like this. In fact, my sons father was Mexican.
These are the reasons that I have come to hate them.
1. They march in the streets demanding rights that they are not entitled to.
2. They fly the Mexican flag over our flag (while flying our flag upside down)
3. They burn our flag
4. They let it be known that they hate our country
5. They have anchor babies that they cannot afford
6. They come to the US only to take
7. They do not want to become part of our society
8. They are bankrupting our social services set up for CITIZENS
9. They let it be known that they do not want to be here legally
10. Groups like La Raza insist they should have more rights that American citizens
I could go on and on.but you get the picture.
And quite frankly I don't care that there are other people illegally in this country. We do not have millions of Germans or Irish or Japanese or Polish or Koreans (etc etc) doing the things that the Mexican are.
Yes, the things that the Mexicans and their supporters are doing are doing more harm for their cause than good.

The reason that the US and Mexico are POLITICALLY on good terms is simply because BUSH is doing EVERYTHING that Mexico wants.
Should Bush EVER stand up and do what is right for our country.all hell would break loose.

Mexico and America have been friendly for many years. We give them plenty of cash, yet they are all wanting to get into the U.S. Because we are nicer and more generous to them than their own country!
Didn't know they did. I live in a neighborhood in america where there are many mexicans and we all get along quite well.
I think that Americans have a problem with ILLEGAL Mexicans and their arrogance about breaking the U.S. laws. I think Mexicans in Mexico are simply jealous of the U.S.
What would happen if Ms. Mexico was Booed in the U.S. like Ms. USA was in Mexico? The Mexicans in the U.S. would start yelling "RACISM".

Why can't you be allowed to stop a situation (illegal immigration) without hating those who are breaking our immigration laws?
Most of us understand why they do it, but that does not make it right. Our people come first always and the needs of our people supersede any other countries people when inside the US.
We have an immigration process one of the most liberal ones around, its not perfect but it works, we have many immigrants to prove this and if you choose to disrespect the citizens by breaking immigration laws you should expect some of the citizens to be a little angry and not happy with the situation. Mexicans are not the only ones who break our immigration laws by far and the sentiment for illegal aliens extend to all other nationalities also, and most people realize that not all Mexican are illegal (I hope). It does not mean we hate anyone when we want illegal immigration under control, our economy and social system are in jeopardy, we should be allowed to be concerned about our own country without people questioning our motives.

Although a majority of american politicians like to stick their noses into other countries, most americans are not that stuck up. You would have to be on something strong to think American was perfect. We definatly shouldnt be in some of the situations we are...but I think like most other countries people try to blace blame on the most convienent places. AS for the hating mexico situation. I think a majority of Americans dont hate Mexicans. I think that they are being fed bull about the economy problems being because of illegals and alot of "white" americans are so ignorant they thing every mexican(or anyone that looks mexican) is an illegal. I am a wide variety of races and was born and raised here in the usa. ALL my ancestors hve been here for a long time.I'm even part native american.but i've had people talk about me in front of me because they werent aware i knew english. I think that Mexico has become a scapegoat in many ways. I think that as neighbors we should be helping each other but apparently idealism will get us no where.. Unfortunately

My opinion is that the illegal immigration issue is fueling most of this. Most Americans feel like you must follow our immigration laws to become a citizen and if you are illegal you are cheating the taxpayers. Some Mexicans feel like they have some right to be here or even just want to be here and we feel like as citizens we have the right of citizenship to set laws and have them obeyed.
You are making a general statement I do not think there is that much hate just a difference of opinion on how things should be run here in OUR country.
Your premise is wrong! The only thing most Americans dislike is that so many Mexicans are coming into our country ILLEGALLY! That seems to be a hard point for the pro-amnesty folks to understand!
You have two separate issues. Most do not hate Mexicans, we do not want to see our country turned into welfare state for the poverty of another country. This amnesty will change the fabric of the country. Why is it okay for illegals to want to remake this country for their needs, but when Americans raise their right not to have to pay for it, we are called racist.

I'm American, and I don't hate any other country. I don't hate people from Mexico. I have a problem with the illegal immigrants that are slowly taking over my home state.
