Am I able to work on a Fiance visa for the UK?
I know a 6 month visa is issued but I cant find anything anywhere about whether Id be able to work on it, like until we get married.
Answer:
You can't work with this visa. You can do two things; find a job and your employer will get you a work permit (easy) or you could apply for HSMP visa.
Good luck
Short answer.nope
being permitted to isn't exactly same as 'able to'.But don't think an ordinary visa would allow you to-it doesn't work the other way with visitors to USA so would be grossly unfair.
You cannot work and you cannot work UNTIL the Home Office has granted you the next stage - two years as a spouse. Apply for this once married.
No, the fiance visa does not allow you to work. As soon as you are married, you can apply for a two-year visa which when granted allows you to work. At the end of the tw years you can apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain, and then for citizenship.
EDIT: just read Frisky's answer above, as usual he beat me to it! It is exactly right, as usual!
No, your fiancee visa is granted to you for 6 months to get married only. It has conditions on it
- no recourse to public funds, ( school, nhs, etc)
- and with no work.
You need to apply for further leave to remain as a spouse, once you get married. Ok?
Look on the vignette ( the yellow visa you have) and the conditions are stated on it already. There are in small print - but they are " conditions".
