Why if most American businesses & corporations need bilingual staff; Schools don't offer Bilingual Education?
Do you know how many million people in "America" (USA) speak Spanish as first native language? I am talking about U.S Citizens, not illegals. well, both!

EDIT-Btw, many counties offer FREE english classes to immigrants...beats the hell out of me why they dont use them...on second thought, I CAN tell you why...they refuse to assimilate into American culture.need proof? go to Miami...you'll see it in all of it's wonder..

English is the primary language in the United States. It's also the worldwide language used in air traffic control and maritime shipping operations/communications. I do business in English, and this is an english board. If you wish to type responses in spanish, go to those YA boards.
The schools don't teach bilingual education by and large because this country has a defined national language, it's English. A lot of people may very well speak Spanish as a first language, but guess what, the majority of them need to vastly improve their English speaking skills. If they were allowed to have class in Spanish, they'd never get off their butts and improve their English. I live in America and refuse to learn Spanish. My family's native languages are French and German, I speak those, but English is my first language.
Why should they? English is accepted by many other foreigners that a reaping a huge benefit in our educational system; They are not protesting that they should be taught in their language.
Be realistic, we do not need to add more costs to our educational system to cater to some who are too pouty to want to learn in English.

Well you are right there Mexicanish, more reason to get the illegals shipped up and home. They are teaching English to your little hijos and hijas, its called english as a second language programs, and oh yeah its the majority of legal non-spanish americans who are paying more tax dollars to cover it. Funny I wish they taught me more spanish, I had to pay for it in college, now if you speak spanish where I live you can earn up to $40 an hour as a secretary. Just another reason we don't want people like yourself here.

Oh, we know alright! If it's further education you want, that's why we have colleges and universities. I can't imagine ever having to do business with a company that can't speak English. english is the first language. Why do americans have to change this.all american founded documents are in english (decleration, pledge of alegance, etc). Why cant mexicans take the time to learn the american language...after all you want to be here.
