I've got no problem with LEGAL immigration, but come on, you would think it's common sense to keep illegals out of here. Jeez, even France has tight immigration laws. If you think it's too much, what do you propose is done about it? Deportations? Thats not possible. Not because you can't physically deport them, but because of the sheer scale of protests and riots and general chaos that would cause. Give me some REAL non extremist solutions.

We have tried since the early part of 1970 to decrease or at least stay the same population. It was working until every Tom, Dick, and Harry started coming here with a pat on the back from our gov't. Yes there are too many people and we are feeling it already with the energy problems and with the water situation. Not enough legal immigration. If we have millions of jobs that we can't fill, then we should let millions of people into the country to fill them. Too much illegal immigration. But if we won't let them come in legally, then I don't blame them for coming in illegally.
problem is that we have the wrong kind of immigration. We need legals that have actual skills that wont be a drain to the tax payers
Absolutely. Close the borders for a few years, let everyone clear out and see if we have room for more groups. I doubt we will.
In the meantime, we can round up everyone with deportation orders who have ignored them. Send them home.
