How hard is it to emigrate to the USA ?
Answer:
Very difficult indeed. The only way open to UK citizens is to either get employed and sponsored by an American company or to buy and run a business in America.
To respond to some other answerers, forget the Green Card lottery, UK citizens are excluded from that.
Secondly, why would you want to leave the UK? Because it's sh1t here. It's filthy and the people are scummy, sefish and immoral.
Very difficult unless you are from Mexico, I believe.
No.I think the national motto here is "if you can swim, you're in".
Not hard, just sneak across out southern border.
If you mean illegally, it would depends on wheere from- the arizone border where most immigrate from is a few miles long and is a desert- they come in buses from Mexico, for citizenship you need to have some general knowledge of our history, they only allow I think about 144,000 per years, to swear oath and some other minor stuff, to be albe to read and write in english
people from the Phillipines and Saudi Arbia sometimes have better chances, because for their nursing school they get taught the same as here
If you have 12 years to waste, easy. Also easy if you find an American citizen to marry you.
really hard. unless ur cuban with the wet foot dry foot policy.
I believe it is very difficult. A more pertinent question might why would anyone want to emigrate to the USA?
I wouldn't go if you paid me.
Well, 50,000 a year plus families do it on the diversity visa. Otherwise our family based immigration tends to use up unskilled visas. I think we should change our system to only let family based immigration occur with the spouse and minor children of the immigrant, so we can be more diverse, but there it is.
Have you ever considered the green card lottery -
50000 green card for the entire world - and amazingly so i personally know 4 people from ex-yugoslavia who got it.

good luck
My guess is it would be pretty difficult. There are visa classes for people with certain qualifications that allow a company to hire someone from outside the US to fill a job.
It all comes down to the reason you are immigrating. If you marry a US citizen your given a higher priority. I've been to the US Embassy here in Seoul and there are tons of people lined up trying to get visas to the US. Most have to wait years to get a visa.
Check with the American Immigration Authorities---But beware -- they don,t welcome "Terrorists" they have more than enough of their Own.....So their checks are Stringent ........
Very easy if you are a highly educated highly trained individual or willing to pick fruit and scrub toilets. Unfortunately, its very hard if you normal and just looking for a better life. As an American, I am extremely upset that we no longer honor the words written on the statue of liberty.
It's very hard to do it legally. Brits are not allowed in the Green Card Lottery. If you had a qualification as a doctor or nurse you would stand a small chance. If you had a LOT of money to buy a business you could get a temporary visa that covers you while the business is running. Other than that the only option is to marry somone from the US. Or you could sneak in illegally and keep your head down for twelve years then you qualify automatically, assuming the law doesn't change before then, but thats not strictly legal. Good luck.
Much harder than it is to come here !
