Don't just draft and send them there, BUT what you could do is offer any non-US citizen free citizenship for serving in our armed forces. This would not be the first time it was done, Korea and Vietnam saw programs like this and the soon-to-be citizen fighters were quite capable.
No, we have a volunteer army. You are speaking of conscription, and anyway its been done before in the US Civil War.
There was a movie I saw once. They sent convicted criminals to a foreign country to fight some terrorist group. In reality you can't trust criminals with weapons around American soldiers.

They have the right as non-citizens to join the US military, to gain citizenship. My sister went through basic with some girls who were brought here illegally as small children. They are now serving in the military to gain thier right to be here. Anyone who is willing to die for this country, and proves it by actively serving, should have the honor of US citizenship.
