Answer:
What Rick said is true, but it will not take 4 to 6 months, then you'll be receiving a packet of info. on what she will need before her appointment at the assigned consulate. It's basically a copy of her birth certificate, passport, medical exam (I think they give you a list of where to get it) and a deposit (My brother's was $100, but his fiance was from Mexico and he had to make the deposit in on of Mexico's bank, so I don' know if it's going to be the same situation as yours) Once you have everything ready then you go to your appointment. In my brother's case, he didn't have to make an appt. they just went to the office, but he had to go around 4 or 5 in the morning. There she was approved for her K-1 Visa. It takes around 2 months to get that packet, and the Visa is issued the same day.
15 years.
4-6 months if you are lucky, next step is for immigration to transfer case to the National Visa Center and then NVC notify the consulate in phil.
What rickv said is true.. What you should do now is get a color copy of your fiance's passport, original birth certificate, and original signed DS-230 I. Just to have on hand so that you are one step ahead of the National Visa Center.
