Should amnesty be given to illegal immigrants that have american born children?

Should these people be deported, even though their children were born here. Or should they be allowed to stay and care for their children? Or should they all be deported together, because of the illegal actions of their parents?

Answer:
No, hell no! They should be sent back with their illegal parents! No damn amnesty for illegals, period! Arrest and deport all illegals, now!
NO! They are Felons!
The children should be deported as illegals along with the parents.
They should all be deported, unless the children are older than 4 years old and have lived here their entire lives, in which case the illegals should be sent back and the citizens stay.

If people don't want their families torn apart, they won't break the law.
First of all, I think that law should be changed and children born to illegal immigrants in this country should NOT be considered US citizens. They should ALL be deported together, no exceptions.
I don't think their children should even be given automatic citizenship.
No.

Though thier children are, and should remain, American citizens under the 14th Amendment, it should have no bearing on thier deportation.

I do believe, though, that parental rights trump those of the state. If the parents are deported, they should absolutely be allowed to take thier kids with them, and even decide to repudiate citizenship on thier behalf. Children are thier parent's, not thier country's.
Why reward them for breaking the law?

Either the kids get deported with the parent(s), or they stay with legal relatives.
are bank robbers allowed to keep the money they steal?
Should amnesty be given to illegal immigrants WHO have canadian born children?
What politician is ever going to sponsor deporting American citizens?

can you think one or two steps ahead or are you stuck in the now?
I would be against amnesty,as our law is written, those born on American soil are automatically given U.S.Citizen status.Dates back to I believe the early 1800's.Law could be considered to be antiquated now.It does tend to act as an enticement to those seeking U.S.citizenship.
They should stay with the parents and when they are an adult if they choose to do so come back.
they should be deported, they will however be given the choice to put their children up for adoption or take them back with them. My vote is get rid of all of them.
They should be deported together!!
The Parents need to be deported.

It is a difficult situation because of the children, but the Parents brought it on themselves.

They can leave the children in the U.S. with legal family or take them with them to the country of origin.
No, I think children belong with their parents. If their parents came here illegall, the kids go home with Mommy and Daddy. And giving birth to an anchor baby is one of the lowest things anyone can do. Why have a child to try to stay in a country you broke into? Would you like to find out the only reason you were born is because it helped your parents break the law?
Strange, people slam other people who have a sick child, who can be saved by the stem cells of a sibling, so the couple has a child to help the first one, and they are persecuted for it ( I didn't do it, but I have seen cases). But an illegal commits a felony to get here, and they have a child to try and make that felony okay.
Does that mean bank robbers and murderers can have kids then not go to prison so that they can raise their kids?
They should ship the children back with them to their own country WITHOUT citizen status for the children...
Deport them and their supporters..
No, they should be deported. That law only encourages nonAmericans to break the law and come here illegally. Get rid of the anchor baby law just as many Western countries have. It's outdated.
The interesting thing is that "anti-illegals" often cite the need to enforce the laws.. yet, "anchor babies," are legal U.S. citizens by every definition of American law.

So, which way are we going to have it, are we going to respect the law, or pick and choose? You can't have it both ways

They need to remain with the parents, regardless where the parents end up.
Deport them all, the anchor babies should be denied citizenship.

Redefine the 14th amendment to exempt illegals, and have it apply only to those who are in the country LEGALLY. Because illegals are not acting under the jurisdiction of US law.
LOL! You are joking. right?? Law states that if you are born here, you are a citizen. but...it should be, if your parents are illegal, you are too... Just because your mother crawls across the border at 8-9 months and you spew out, doesn't mean you deserve a legal status... They should all be deported...no amnesty for criminals or thier offspring..
no and they should take there kids.
No.
The child is a citizen and is allowed to come back when they are older and able to support themselves. why should someone who comes here illegally, has a child, be given immediate citizenship over those who have applied and been waiting for it?
Illegal actions should not be tolerated nor rewarded.
kids go with their parents so they should be deported together
the problem of illegal immigrants is a relatively new one, and when the constitution was drafted, allowing one who was born here citizenship, it wasn't even thought such a situation could exist. we need to redefine this area, if indeed, all who are born here be citizens or if citizenship is dependent upon parent's status...

if citizenzship is conferred, then it needs be decided if that means the child stays, and if so, who would be the caretaker. if not, does that baby, when grown, have a 'fast track' to citizenship? however, the parents shouldn't get a free ride, since there are no guarantees given for parents of citizens.
Children under the age of 18 belong with their parents. But I do not accept that having that anchor baby should give a "pass" to criminal behavior.

Deport all illegal aliens. Children under the age of 18 belong with their parents whenever possible. If the parents are illegal aliens, they should be deported and the children should go with them. At the age of 18, the children should be allowed to return to the U.S. under whatever applicable legal venue.

If parents are deported and do not take the children they should assign their custody over to a legal family member.or they should turn the child over to Child Protective Services to become a ward of the state.

Its the only way. Illegals should not be made "legal" due to the anchor baby. We send criminals to jail regardless of their parental status and deal with it accordingly. We should do the same with children of the illegal criminals in the country.
