As for the question asked, I plan on staying and taking back what is MINE and my Country's.
If people are freaked about 12 million low-wage laborers leaving, they'll definitely blow a fuse over half the country leaving.
It wouldn't matter. The government would still deficit spend. Illegals would fill our jobs.
I think you have a great plan, but how about if we ship the entire poor class around the world and then we could put much of that money right back into our pockets.
As the middle class gets smaller and smaller due to the cheap labor of the illegals and the exporting of good middle class and upper class jobs that go over seas , the country will not have to have it's middle class leave in great numbers to see the effect soon. We will be just like the poor counties that are exporting their poverty to this county
The country as a whole would collapse. Middle class is a very broad range. Over 3/4 of our country is in that catagory.

Well, since 90% of Americans consider themselves to be middle class it would be hard for those left behind not to notice.

The Ruling Classes (Corporate bosses and their political lackeys) wouldn't notice until it was too late. If it wasn't for the middle classes buying stuff, the corporate bosses wouldn't have a living.
The probelm is, where do you go? UK? No thanks, just left there to come here. Europe? Maybe, but US companies are there anyway, so we'd still be lining Corporate America's pockets, just not to the same extent. Australasia perhaps? Only for the lucky few. The Aussies are fussy about who they let in. Asia? How many Americans could truly make a life there, other than in retirement? Africa? No thanks. South & Central America? I gather some countries in Latin America have quite strict immigration policies.
Nice to dream, but I think the solution must come from the inside. It is up to the people to tell the Ruling Classes that their time is up. We just have to have the balls to do it.

I am an American born and reared in this nation and I'll not leave here for any reason. Screw the illegals and pass the potatoes, let's get on with living. If we continue to keep a close watch on our politicians, there is no reason why we can't continue being a dominantly middle class people and nation.
I can see the movie title, "A Day without US Citizens". A lot of the people left here would be happy, I think.
But what countries would take us in? The government would notice, there'd be almost no one to pay the taxes.
