We need proper border controls. That means uniformed officers (not flunkies from some outsourced crap company in polyester shirts and pants), they need to be armed, we need proper checks of non-citizens and proof from them that they have a real reason to visit the country.
We don't need more technology or big brother, we simply need to enforce the laws we have.
Employers that hire illegals are tax evaders, and criminals. Put them in jail, fine them and suspend their right to do business.

What difference would that make, when the government is insisting that people can come here without any checks at all.
Can you even begin to imagine what would happen at Heathrow, if all passport holders were made to have their eye scans and fingerprints checked, while non British passport holders, whose eye scans and fingerprints were not on record flowed past them without hindrance?

Time for a new government not more legislation to attack the indigenous population of these islands. Why should ordinary citizens have to go through an interrigation and asked questions from family history to how many bank accounts you have got and have their finger prints taken and eyes scanned, just to get a new passport? Labour have created this mess through their open door, no checks immigration policy.
