After passing the Life in the Uk citizenship test, how long does it taketo get the british passport?
Answer:
You still need to apply for British citizenship. Passing the test is only a small part of this. Check the Immigration and Nationality Directorate website http://www.ind.homeoffice.gov.uk/applyin... which tells you everything you need to do.
I would recommend using the Nationality Checking Service at your local council if you are able to apply for citizenship. For about £30 they will check your application and send it off for you. You could then get it back as quickly as a month later, but the average is about 4 months I believe.
Ignore all the xenophobic twits who have answered your question with insults. They don't understand the extent to which foreigners benefit the UK.
I don't think it's that easy,you surely can't just get a british passport from passing a daft test,can you?
You have to have other LEGAL documents to gain a passport not take a test.
Why would you want one anyway? Are you thinking of leaving already?
you have to first attend a ceromony to be sworn in then when this is done you apply for the uk passport takes about 3-4 weeks
