But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. No. They broke the law. Round them up and tell them they can serve in our military for seven years and receive citizenship in exchange for an honorable discharge OR they can do seven years hard labor followed by deportment.
Bush keeps saying they do the jobs that Americans don't want to do. What a load of crap! That logic serves one group and one group only: Corporate America & the wealthy. The reason Americans don't do those jobs is because they don't pay enough to feed a family! It's bad enough that they've shipped our jobs overseas, now they want to give jobs to a group of criminals who they won't have to pay minimum wage!

hell yeah! we need to do something because they keep coming and coming. i live in Indiana and they are everywhere. at my job we got 120 people and 85 are Mexican and only about 10 speak any English, and none are legal. but they want to be treated like Americans but not act like it, they don't learn the language or associate with anyone else except fellow Mexicans.
Don't forget the thousands of illegals in our jail system. Not only do we get illegal Mexicans, but we get the criminally insane ones. I'll be pissed if we give them amnesty.
Right now, I feel like we should work on preventing any more from entering our country. Then we can worry about what to do with the millions that are already here. Those who don't have papers should go, and those who do are fine.

I highly agree with you. All illegal immigrants need to be removed promptly from the Country. They have no right to be here. If they would all just become legal citizens and learned the language everything would be fine. Immigrants are half the problem with this country. Get rid of them and there would be more jobs and money for those who deserve it. People like you who came to this country looking for a better life of better opportunities, but instead had to pay out the *** in taxes for those who are now running our country.

Most of them are on the wrong side of town because they are to busy working minimum wage jobs and helping out family in Mexico who are even worse off and paying Social Security and federal taxes that they will never be able to benefit from.
