Should Britain close the doors on immigration?
Answer:
Definitely, we've been a soft touch for far too long and it's about time that other countries shouldered their responsibilities.
Yes!
1 Not completely.
2 Yes very.
Yes we should close the doors our own people are suffering due to helping others enough is enough. This is a sensible option not a bias one.
We should be more selective when selecting immigrants. Ones that will benefit our country instead of using our benefit system
We could all move to Poland
My only issue is the amount of people with known criminal records we let in... there should be better screening and better border controls for the illegals, but true asylum seekers and honest hard working people should be allowed. but then there is a very large element of lazy, dishonest criminal people within the british citizenship, so perhaps we should try and sort them out a little better while we're at it!
No! But that doesn't mean the doors should be as wide open as they appear today, and commit a crime that would result in prison time and they should be expelled automatically.
We had a similar question yesterday. They probably should stop too many more people coming, before the Island sinks under the weight.
Yes we should close the doors, and only accept immigrates if they are going to be of use to our society, do a system like Australia, were they can only live here if they have qualifications and a job to come too, it would stop half of them coming here because there aunts uncle brothers sister came here to live also stop the illegal immigrates as these would be shipped straight back from were they had come from.illegal immigrates are a drain on our society, and take alot of the tax payers money, we don't have enough of that for our own british people let alone them.
The door should be left ajar
With a new passport being issued every 5 minutes, Britain is a very soft touch
yes
yes we should and yes britain is too soft. its getting beyond a joke now
I'm not British so I really don't have a right to an opinion on the subject. It is for them to decide.
IF I was British, I would be wondering about immigration and it's relationship to terrorist attacks.
YES, we let in Muktar Said Ibrahin, Ramzi Mohammed, Yassin Omar and Hussain Osman, and they tried to kill and main. Especially as one of the gan had £23.000 housing loan and beneifits of £13.000. My mum lives on a measley pension, and they are getting so much more out of the system!
Well now in the news the english wife of Osama Bin Ladens son, who happens to be about 30 years his senior, wants a visa so he can come here to the UK...
I think this surely has to be the last straw?
No more from Iraq - Romania - Bulgaria - Somalia - Poland - etc.
There are 97 different nationalities in my city now and the local police force spend 100k a year on interpreters, that's the salary for 3 fully trained policemen!
The government has to speed up paper work now and get shut of these who are not supposed to be here...
I went to the library recently in my city and i was the only white guy there, i walk down the street and hear all these different languages, i feel like a damn minority, i go to Tesco and Romanian gypsies come up to me and ask in bad english if i want my car washed !
My family has lived here for thousands of years, i am british, white and proud, I want my country back please...
Either that or decide that no Muslims are to be allowed in.
Yes it should, and the US should join in that policy as well. I read a report a moment ago that said the terrorists have regrouped to a level that hasn't been seen since 9/11. The government should quit letting them in!
most definately yes how many more can this country take its only a small island and our own people can't get jobs and houses look after our own for a change I say!!
Yes, or at the very least, immigration should be frozen until we have a clear and enforced policy on immigration quotas, and have sorted out the problems we have with immigrants currently in the country, including a ruthless purge on anyone here illegally. Only then can we even think of taking more on.
I also think that we should have a zero-tollerence attitude toward immigrant crime and they should have a 'guest' rather than 'resident' status here for the first 10 years or so.
If an immigrant is found guilty of crime (serious crime such as theft, drug-related, rape, murder, things like that, not just for a speeding ticket) then they have abused our hospitality. They should then be deported, and, if possible, handed over to their country of origions authorities so they can face charges there, on a presumption of guilt ideally. (because they have already been tried here and found guilty)
I think if I was an immigrant, I would be much less inclined to 'go on the rob' if I knew that being caught would mean I get deported and then when I get there, someone with an axe will be waiting for me to chop my hand off!
I think BNP supporters like you should be kicked out.
ha ha ha ha ha too late ! ha ha ha ha
Not such a soft touch that it will fall for any old BNP drivel.
YES!
Yes definetely:frenchman's answer here!We got the same problems with them over here, except we have the chance we haven't got (yet?) all these atacks & victims, but still it's thrue it's unbelievable how many Pakistan people are living in your country,I'm still amazed when I go to London, comparing to 10 years ago,we indeed, have more marocans, here, but I think immigration is good for people from European countries,we all have kind of the same living styles that fits together well, and we all should help our own folks first, because a lot, come on over here just for our benefits but brings nothing else than problems and costs to our countrys,so yes please, close your doors, keep your culture and country clean &safe and let's all work together on a nice, civilezed Europe
Lemme put it like this....SLAM SLAM
More BNP tripe dished up by placed questions.
So eay to suss these idiots
I am no BNP supporter but YES we should, The UK has given 1,000,000 people (Yes a million people) UK passports over the past 10 years. Mass immigration is undemocratic because we would have rejected it had we had the opportunity. There are far more than this living in the UK but without a UK passport.
It is environmentally wrong because it instantly produces millions of high carbon footprint consumers; also the millions of new inhabitants have increased the cost of UK housing. Mass immigration is no answer to world poverty and the low number of highly qualified 3rd world migrants to the UK should be ashamed for taking away 3rd world badly needed expertise. In other words it does not help us and it does not help the 3rd world either.
The best calculation is a temporary 2% increase in economic growth due to mass immigration to the UK. The increased house prices alone cancel this out and the cost of high profile police operations has sky rocketed
We are not "racist" it is also the political side of ideologies like Islam which are of great concern to all western countries, the EU has recognised that millions of new people are putting a massive social strain on western culture and politics. Islam is a
political-religious doctrine not a race.
The George Galloway supporters sneer with pseudo intellectual contempt at any complaint about mass immigration but at the same time would never be democratic enough to ask the UK people because they know mass immigration would be rejected
Yes and Yes.
