I did not read your link but I will. Remember that all professions have good and bad people. from doctors to waitresses to cooks to mechanics to teachers to politcians. Border Patrol is no different so I am not surprised. Saddened but not surprised.
We can not paint everyone with the same brush. There are alot of hard working, honest border guards who are just doing their jobs.

Of course. They are paid poorly for the work they do and they are supposedly laying their life on the line for America. If you work hard and still cannot make ends meet at home, what would you do? I don't know of a person who was so honest that they would not take a bribe. Money is what makes the world go round and round!

No, but as there is a lot of money to be made from drugs I suppose the offer will always be there and there will always be some who cannot resist the sudden riches.
Cops being bought off is nothing new, the Border Patrol is a law enforcement agency and every dept has a few willing to use their position for their own gain.
Pablo Escobar used to say... well I don't know the Spanish words, but it translates to "Silver or lead". meaning of course take our bribes, or our bullets. If your out maned, out gunned, and out motivated, any one would take the money. Jail is always better then a coffin.
I'm sure a few individuals could be. We are all human and some are more subject to temptation than others. Don't let one rotten apple spoil the whole semi-load. There are far more good ones than bad. Hope they can choose to do the right thing.

Legalize drugs. Tax them to the max. Pay BP agents more with that money. Instead of putting them in jail for shooting drug smugglers in the a##, give them more ammunition.

Of course there are always bad apples in every profession, but when we talk about border patrol officers, it is the front belly of our country that is at stake here, has it occured to any one here that many of the communities already taken over by illegals really resemble the world that's controlled by these cartels?? why is that there are still people who have the stomach to say that "we are all God's children when these "children of God from Mexico " have been so happily sucking out the life of the U.S and spitting out bones of the citizens, downgrading everything insight(quality of life, standards of service, education, work ethics..) into mere crap cand still demanding more and more and more ??
