Paying for crimes WE didn't commit!?
The news also said sometimes the immigrants can stay in jail for months. This is suppose to scare them bacause they have no money to send home to their families.
What about our families. Why should our tax dollars pay for immigrants to sit in US jail. We did not commit these crimes, so why must we pay? It is bad enough we have to pay for our own citizens that do crimes but now we have to pay for immigrants too.
Great, just great. Don't you think it was better just sending them back everytime they crossed?

Absolutely not. It was a revolving door. Ask HOW MANY times people came back, some time. This seems actually to provide deterrence and I understand crime is down 70% in that border region where they are doing this.

First of all you should be specific. This is about illegal immigrants and not immigrants. Big difference.
Second of all, did you know that 95 percent of outstanding warrants in LA are for crimes committed by illegal immigrants. The ship them back plan is obviously not working. Maybe some jail time will lower the crime rates in certain towns and cities thus saving lives and money.
And before I hear it. Yes, I know not all illegal immigrants kill people. I know they aren't all criminal beyond the crime of entering the country illegally.

Not that I agree with the way it is done in Mexico but ...when a border patro police in Mex. finds an illegal, they beat them up, extort or steal from them and so on quite frequently. Guate. suffer this a lot as they pass over Mex. to come ill. to the USA.
This punishment tends to get folks to think about being involved in illegal stuff.
The fact that we put people in jail works for me. Either get in line and wait for citizenshiop here in the USA ...or get in line in jail and do some time. From what I hear, jail ain't no fun!
Seems like a prudent person would figure it out.
What is the saying? "No pain, no gain." We need to punish wrong doers or they will continue to do their wrong doings.
The loss to tax payers for jail for these folks probubly wouldn' be that much more or less than the cost of their crime while here or the cost to provide them with Health care, educate their non English speaking children or tolerate their fouling influence on the quality of American and proper law and order for all that wish to live in the USA within the law.

BIG difference between illegal immigrants and simply immigrants...and true NOT all illegals have committed a crime other than coming or staying illegally in the USA.
There are illegals from Asia, Africa, Europe and Middle East too, who overstayed their visas...ship them back to their countries is big expense...unless we are agree that this is the best way to handle it, then would be an investement worth to consider. HOWEVER unless you can stop the flow from everywhere (people who not only crosses Mexican border, but Canadian border, people who come in ships by sea, boats, etc, along with people with expired visas) and the government stops corruption and stops using these people to make money things won't change
i dont mind my tax dollars going to jail them. i say if you get caught here then you do 1 year in jail before being sent back home. i know many many immigrants that got pick up sent home to mexico and was back here on the job 4 days later. just sending them back home has never worked and never will work. there has to be some kind of punishment that might make them think twice. i say first time picked up 1 year jail time and time should double for every time your picked up. i dont care how much of our taxes goes to take of them.

The only real solution is to take away the incentive to come to the USA illegally.
You do realize that it has to be documented when they catch them and there is a processing cost. also transporting them back has a cost as well. Many who are just sent back come back across again and again and again.
Each time it costs money. If they commit other crimes well that has its cost as well.
Until we fix teh root of the problem there is no easy solution.
I don't mind sending then 2 jail , But send them 2 a prison that has no a/c outside toilets,& showers
Have then work growing there own food. Build there own housing. That way they would think they were back home. Were 2 nice 2 them.

We have to have a starting point as it is we are just barely able to enforce imagination laws currently on the books have now been replaced with tearing familes apart. I think while this may cost us $$ ,at the same time- it means within this group a drunk driver never made it over, a sex offender with a new country to explore never made it over. Medical bills ran up by illegals just for child birth makes this sound so much more reasonable when you add all the cost's and bills illegals cost America- I'd say this is far cheaper than from it they made it more money would have to be put to use
When they are picked up and sent back across the border, they only end up back in the US illegally anyways, so I'd have to say I agree with punishing them in some way. Maybe if they were tougher about it more of them would try coming here LEGALLY!
