Why do people especially foreigners lookat nigerians so dubiously?
Answer:
To be honest I would not know a Nigerian from a Ugandan and I treat everyone the same. I have never heard of anyone singling out Nigerians apart from other Africans who are constantly at odds with each other
Because the largest amount of Internet fraud comes from Nigeria, it was on 48 hours 2 weeks ago.
Go on the Internet , and look up the Nigerian Scam, it could
provide the Answer you seek.
I have never knowingly met a Nigerian. I have no particular like or dislike for them. I do know that I get a lot of scam mail from women purporting to be Nigerians.
There is no smoke without fire, come on lets be honest about this. Basically Nigerian's would kill the chicken 4 the meat forgetting about the eggs. This mentality breeds quick, easy money which is 9 times out of 10 by robbing others. However, bigger picture, people r what they experience. Therefore 1 person might hate Nigerian's another would love them, some Nigerian's might be the best people ever others might be awful. (personally I've been robbed by 1 and worked with 1 who was the happiest person ever who was lovely.) Same with any race, creed, colour, gd & bad. People are fickle both ways, I would say looking at your experience your prob blonde or fair skined.

go to this website unfortunately nigeria is one of the most corrupt countries in the world it has a bad reputation
obviously it does not mean every nigerian is bad i am sure you are a great person but it does have a bad image
I was in jail with a guy from Nigeria when i was younger. He was a pretty cool dude. By the way. He and a guy from Morocco are the only "African Americans" I have ever met.
Sadly some people are just racist morons, they hate anybody who is different than they are. I think in fact they do not like themselves too, they are just so little cowards to admit it.
well Nigerians are known for scamming people. but i don't dislike them automatically because of that. i judge everyone according to the way they treat me. and i will not hesitate to take a chunk out anybody neck if the do me wrong.
I guess we are sick of the Nigerian Internet scams. I get at least 3 or 4 per day. Sends the message that there are lots of dishonest people there. Could be wrong but that's what it looks like.
Perhaps the english wouldnt have this opinion if nigerians stayed in nigeria building up their country into a civilised ,thriving country that will earn international respect as opposed to demanding it.
My comments arent restricted to nigerians but to all those from backward countries that abandon their homelands to sponge and thieve from the english. Then manipulate the dimwitted lefties into fighting your corner for you.
well there was one I used to work with who couldnt keep his hands to himself, a friend of mine works with several and he says theyre all thieves, then you only need to look at the '419' fraud which originated in NIgeria and is now more commonly known as 'the Nigerian Scam' and that should give you an idea
It hink its just the bad image we get from the Email Scam problems and the kidnapping and murder of foreigners in Nigeria.
Some Nigerians are like Americans, completely crooked, deceitful and devious - and over here unfortunately. it can only be assumed that the good ones are mostly over there.
The problem with Africans is that they are happy to let corrupt people like the Americans sit in judgement of them without considering that it is these people who corrupt the planet and plunder its resources. See Iraq.
You've clearly not been there then.
a couple of years ago they sentenced a Young mum to be stoned to death for for the audacity of having a shag, last year they had to cancel miss world (good) because of riots by the locals protesting about this being held there! every couple of months they kidnap some foreign worker till whatever group gets payed a ransom,
Not thieves (thats algeria)
Nigeria is the land of the conman!
I wouldn't know. But there is unrest in and around some of the oilfields in Nigeria with foreign nationals being kidnapped.
I think BP shut down a couple of platforms recently.
So maybe its things like that, that make people wary?
