How about instead we concentrate on OUR people and OUR problems. We do have real problems right here at home.. We have poverty, education problems, states that have high unemployment, millions without basic health care due to excessive costs, foreign oil dependency and other domestic and social issues, how about we make sure every single American child gets an education that is a worthwhile cause and will help the country in the long run. Why not use taxpayer money to solve taxpayer issues, that would definitely make us better off.

If this country invested it's resources in securing the borders, enforcing the laws on the books, eliminating the magnets and look the other way policies that attract illegal immigrants, this country would be much better off.
Bottom line is it is not as much a matter of applying resources as it is a matter of applying common sense...a concept that somehow eludes are political elite.
Bush says we are a country of laws yet he allows "sanctuary" cities that openly admit they will not follow the law.

My ancestors did not come here illegally and that is the difference. Yes, I feel that today's illegal immigrants do contribute a lot less, because they work for next to nothing therefore contributing almost nothing in the way of taxes, they don't speak english, and they bog down our healthcare system.
