My friend is an illegal from Mexico, how do I help her get the right papers?

Okay, I don't have all of the information but here is what I do know. My friend is 18 hers old. Her family moved here when she was 8 years old. She attended a regular school here in the US. She graduated from high school here and now attends my college. She doesn't have a SS# so I can't even figure out how she is attending college but she is. Her mom and dad tells her that they lost her passport. They apparently have filed for green cards but haven't heard anything since they have been in the US. Her older brother went to get help with the matter but he got deported instead. Now she is stuck because she has no passport, no green card, no ss#. She can't work and neither can her family. They have to take cash jobs. How can I help her get the right stuff done so that she can be legal?

Answer:
Start the process by sending her BACK HOME TO MEXICO! Paperwork can't be started while she is an ILLEGALalien criminal. All illegal aliens are criminals because they are breaking the law.

Sorry, I know this isn't what you want to hear but it's the LAW. Race has nothing to do with this issue.
Well, if what you say is true, there is nothing that they can do to stay here. They are a guaranteed deportation when they're found. She is living, working, and attending school here illegally. As for the SS#, they might have just made one up for the paperwork, or have fraudulent cards. She would need to go back to Mexico, get a passport and visa, then get SEVIS paperwork to attend school. They'll find out that she was here for so long and probably reject the visa and school paperwork.
give her a choice between excedrin headache .357 or gettting her *** back to where it belongs.
Look for an organization that will help her with this. here in kern county, california we have Hola Raza which is a legal counceling organization. Find out what forms she needs filled out for immigration. Find the status of her case if they have already filed it like you said. You can do all of this on the immigration website.
