Are Illegal aliens worth $40,000 to your family?
Why won't the Senate provide an estimate? You know it has to cost *something*. If they have a different figure, I'm all ears. If another organization thinks the cost is something else, tell us!
that comes to $8,333 for every man, woman and child in America.
No joke: 2.5 trillion/300 million = 8,333
Now, many in America, such as the illegal aliens themselves, can't afford to pay anything
So, expect a surcharge to make up the difference for each $8,333 you are assessed for each member of your family, if you are able to pay taxes, say $40,000 for a family of four.
do you think that's a fair punishment to your family for other people's breaking of the law?
oh- by the way, that's on TOP of what your family already owes for the national debt, of $117,333 for a family of 4 (not adjusted for those who cant pay at all)
what's another $40,000?
If everyone who is outraged by this called their congress rep and senators, this would NOT PASS
Answer:
no amnesty
Well, that is less than the Iraq war is costing each family, now isn't it?
Wow we can sell them?
But I only pay the gardener 35, 000
Do you have any idea how many trillions undocumented workers contribute to the economy And please do not give me that BS that Americans would do those jobs, if the would then then they would be doing them. They won't.
We are calling - Congress still does whatever they want. Will u get it thru ur head - CONGRESS DOESN'T CARE ABOUT AMERICA - only themselves. It's treasonist - and those responsible SHOULD HANG!!
No, illegal aliens already cost each California taxpaying family over $1,000 extra in taxes.
We don't need illegal aliens to cut grass or blow leaves around. In upscale neighborhoods in California, you only see American gardeners.
Also, illegal aliens are not needed to pick tomatoes. Companies hire illegal aliens because it is cheaper than buying machines to harvest tomatoes. Taxpayers end up picking up the cost of taking care of the illegal aliens, and the companies pocket the extra profit.
Why Do People Think We Need Foreigners To Pick Vegetables?http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...
Most would rather come on here and complain. i call all the time to deaf ears but as least i try.i wish more would call and push their Political representatives.
it's not going to pass, it will be cheaper just to have them deported, and put the fence up. our government is so messed up right now. i wonder if it is going to take a brick wall to fall on their heads to wake them up.
Outstanding question. More of an answer, really.
Go to http://www.senate.gov/ . Click on “find your senators” at the upper right and enter your state and click “go.” Your senator’s names will come up, and underneath each name will be a web address for a form to write an e-mail to your senator. Click on the link, write in your name and address, and let your elected representative know what you think of the immigration bill now before Congress. Better yet, copy the mailing address and send a paper letter through the postal service, too.

i have contacted my senators and since they are not up for re-election they don't seem to be listening. Pay real close attention to the campaign speeches of Tom Tancredo - not today's typical two face republican. he is listening to the American people. from news reports i understand most of those senators including those running for president did not read the bill itself, but were briefed by their aides. and the same is true of the vote to go to war in Iraq. the politicians themselves are to blame for the growing resentment of the people. while our kids cannot go to college, illegals get breaks on tuition. while seniors cant afford prescriptions and much of their medical care, many illegals (not immigrants please note i am saying illegal) get free medical, we carry extra insurance for those uninsured and on and on and on. If you are a citizen you are expected to obey the law. since congress is our law making body why do they not have to enforce it and allow local police do the same.
This is not a question, it is a rant and wasn't interesting when you posted it the first time.
yeah, unfortunately, there is something inherently wrong with giving special treatment to those who have broken a law... even if we understand the necessity (poverty) of coming to the U.S.
The real problem is: if we do not give them some form of path to legalization by amending some of our current laws, what then? the Department of Homeland Security is NOT equipped to find and deport over 12 million illegal immigrants (and that is a conservative estimate). that is OVER 12 million... how many border patrol agents would that take? other problem is: that is just the manpower to arrest them, what about the manpower to process them (i.e. think of all of the police personnel at an actual jail, police station etc... DHS would need the same type of structure).
let them stay "illegal" and have no benefits? that is what they've been doing so far...
stop ALL social services to them? they are not going to leave... their countries have worse situations. besides, do we really want to become savages ourselves. let them die on the streets? come on. that is not an American value. and it's OVER 12 million of them and they are NOT all from mexico or easily dumped on the border. many live North of the maxon-dixon line and no way they are traveling all the way back, especially if they are from central america (further away than the mexican border). to fathom traveling from say, chicago as an illegal alien because you have no benefits is absurd. they have nothing to lose already, why risk death with such death march?
i am not an advocate of amnesty either, but i also try to think of what a plausible solution really would be and at some point i think that they are here to stay and instead of seeing them as a burden, we can see them as a way to strengthen our economy (tax $$$) and work force.
no. i do not believe in temporary passes either. not because they give a legal way to work here BUT because they will not work either. if you are an illegal alien in El Paso, TX, sure, you can cross the border back to mexico and come back in 2 years. but what about if you are an alien in chicago? new york? after their pass expires, they are not leaving... hell, if i was them i wouldn't either. what if you are from central america and live in chicago? how would you get all the way back there? and then come back here?
but i digress. i hear you about the Bill, but if not that, then what can we do that is feasible?
My answer to your question is... why should I or any other US citizen have to pay to return someone who is illegal to their country of origin?
Send the bill to the country of origin and let them pay for it.
Let's stipulate that if all illegals were sent home, the price of food would double. It still wouldn't cost the average family anywhere near $40,000. a year!
This is true and the tread goes up. In southern Texas, property owners have seen double and triple increases in the last 10 years due to the Mexican illegals having litters of babies that we support with more and more taxes. The democrats love them are they grow up and vote for more and more handouts.. We don't hate the Mexicans, we hate the burden they cause and the politicians that steal from us to pander to them..
the reason we have national debt is because our government needs to have their $50,000 dolllar partys, fly their jets around and what ever else to show they have the power and the money.
Thank God I'm not the only American out there who knows the real cost of all these taco-benders-seriously, the figures are there, it is real, but people still don't get it...
I guess I can understand the complaints about the illegals and the costs dilineated above.. even if I do not agree with you (them). There are lots of suggestions on these boards to shoot , maim, tar and feather, export via tied to the back of a Ford F150 with a boot stuck in private places that in my case is a 1 way valve. back to whars' they *** furm..
But RARELY, do I hear ANYONE support stiff fines for those fat cats and corporations who knowingly give these people employment. The dirty little secret is that it is the very people who now cry the loudest, those greedy right wingers, who have created this mess. There is a reason that immigrants run across the border. They can live on $5.15 an hour-Americans cannot. . And isn't it funny how it is the Republicans who fight every time there is a proposal to support a raise in the minimum wage. It has gotten so bad that states have had to raise the minimum wage on their own.
I do not blame the folks flooding across the borders. Heck, if it was you or me, we would do the same for our families. But come on Republicans, show some guts. If you want real immigration reform, you need to take away the impetus for illegal immigration by fining and imprisoning the folks that employ these poor people.
I will not get any points in a positive direction, but sometimes the truth has to be said..
