Why the immigration laws needs to change?
Answer:
The majority of americans (that ive seen) just want our illegal immigration laws enforced.
in 1986, we gave amnesty to illegals, but these provisions were in the bill:
Fining employers for hiring illegal workers
giving employers the ability to see if the people they were hiring were legal to work in the united states.
increasing border patrol agents
building a 'fence' (thats basically what they said)
I would have no problem at all changing the laws on how many legal immigrants we should bring into this country.. and i dont think many anti-amnesty people would. we are a land based on immigration, we should not ever shut down our legal routes to citizenship.
It's doesn't, at least not in any major way.
It needs to be enforced.
I am happy with enforcing the ones we have now.
Is it too much to ask the government to enforce the laws we already have? If they did, we wouldn't be in this mess!
The current laws need to be enforced, that's all
If we enforced them, things would be going well. For legal immigration there are standards people have to live up to. It is the problem with our border control being so lax that needs to change.
And our treament of people doing that job who are in trouble if they actually stop illegal entry.
they don't need to change...except for the children who are coming of age who were dragged here by their illegal parents.
I'm up for a change defining minimum sentences for violations. The purpose of course is to discourage violations.
