What do I do or need to do to invite a friend from Ghana, Africa to the United States, New Jersey.?
Answer:
You can write a letter to your friend stating that you are inviting him for a visit. You can also send brochures of the places you want to take your friend to.
Your friend will have to bring proof of his financial ability to pay for the trip (bank statements, proof of properties, etc) and ties in Ghana (job, family ties) to convince the consular officer that he will not overstay and is only coming for a visit. He should also bring the letter you will write and the brochures. When he has everything ready, let him schedule an interview at the us embassy/diplomatic mission in ghana.

good luck!
i dont get what ur talking about.
Leave it to a Yankee to ask a question like that.
I assume you mean for them to get a Non-immigrant visa?
You write them a letter stating your name, address, US passport number, social security number, how many felonies you have been convicted of and your relationship to the entrant.
Something like "how nice it was to speak with you again last week, i remember fondly our days in school together, won't you please come visit me next time you are in the USA, you can stay with me and I will cook good meals for you and show you around" will do just fine.
All you can do is send a letter to your friend. Invite the friend for a visit. Specify the dates of the visit and some of the things you'd like to do while your friend is here.
It's up to your friend to go to the US embassy in Ghana and apply for a tourist visa. There's a $100 application fee. Your friend will have to convince an American consular officer that he/she will not overstay and that he/she has strong ties to Ghana. This is a difficult barrier to overcome.
