Do you really believe it is impossible to deport 12 million illegals?
I believe it is completely possible to deport the majority of them
Answer:
I think you'd waste more money rounding up illegal immigrants and deporting them than you'd lose if they took yer jerbs.
As much as I would like to see it happen it is impossible after all the money we have thrown at them so far that would triple it,so economically it is more practical to legalize them and get their tax dollars into our economy to start recouping what we have already wasted on them. Not to mention the fact that loads of them would just sneak right back in and the fact that we need a massive influx of immigrants in this country to fill the void that the baby boomers are going to leave our politicians just went about it the wrong way once again.
I dont believe it would be impossible. Im in favour of having a big cannon aimed so that the immigrants can be fired out of the country
I will answer this two fold: The possibility and the effects.
Yes, the plan you have laid out briefly does hold some water to it! Anytime an illegal is found by any law officer or gov't official then they should be reported, noted, and sent away -- good riddance.
The major problem is this: human rights, political correctness, the ingraining of the people in our economy, and pure man power.
It is difficult to devise any way to route the illegals in a humane way, and the flaw in your plan is that you want to contain them in a type of camp so they stay there while we ship them out. It would not be a far leap to compare that to Nazi Germany and the Japanese concentration camps held on the west coast (and other parts of this nation, US).
The idea of shipping these people out is just not PC enough for most liberals and those who are here illegally (though, should an illegal have the legal rights of a citizen? No. Of course not.) That and it is impossible for an official to report someone for something that is not related to whatever crime they are currently doing (from what I understand).
The near-slave labor we have of many illegals (and by this i mean Mexican workers on farms and such) will hurt our economy for the short run, but I wouldn't say it would hurt us in the long run, but many people focus on the here and now. That's 12 million workers in our system that is working at or below minimum wage - alot of employers don't want to lose that.
Finally, the whole thing would be expensive! All the bureacracy that would need to be done with the busses, the planes, the security, the officers, the new agencies to be created, and so many more costs seems too high! While I'm for it... I'm not sure we can do it.
You have to document them before driving them to the border.
The cost would astound you, concerning the investigation, arresting, detainment and deportation proceedings, as well as the transportation costs--not all illegals are Mexican.
I think the money would be better served providing sports and other extracurricular activities to our children, and coming up with a more viable solution.
It took Hitler only about 5 years to "deport" 6 milllion jews (permanently) and he didn't have Arnold Schwarzenegger's help! Do you really want to recreate Nazi Germany here in the USA? You're rhetoric sure sounds like you do.
No, it's certainly possible.
YES!
we did it after world war two why can't we do it now? we also put the US military on are borders with order to protect the sovereignty of this great land.
the ACLU has made it a crime to protect are sovereignty
Menifee
according to this **** bill it only takes 24 hours to process 12 million!
O K w
I wish 60% but not where I live
There has not been an INS / ICE Raid in years
Even though I can prove that the contractors they use hire Unlawful breaking the law criminals.

Valley Crest
All American Window Cleaning

C&R Maintenance
Haglund Construction
Dekra Lite
This companies are knowingly breaking the law so they can undercut American citizens and stuff there pockets
By the way Several Cities across the country use Valley Crest for there Landscaping.
I agree it is not only possible but very realistic. We have trains and planes that can carry these law breakers back to where they came from. Build the wall, send them home and lets keep America safe for all law abiding people, citizen or alien.
It's possible.
It's practical.
It has already began!
(Deportations are up 60% from a year ago!)
These people thought that by demonstrating in the streets they could get their way. (Why not? They already came here illegally. Why would they respect any other laws?)
What really happened was an awaking in this country by legal citizens that were outraged. There is an anti-illegal backlash now that cannot be stopped without MASS deportations and REAL solutions to our porous borders.
They did it to themselves. I have a lot of tolerance for a lot of things but I have no pity or tolerance for ignorance.
It is very far from impossible. It already happening!
There's this immigration bill on the table that's supposed to take issue with this situation, but it's under fire from both sides because there's doubts as to whether its' enactment will serve as an adequate deterrent to future illegal immigration. The two nations at the heart of the immigration debate are the United States and Mexico, although the issue of illegal immigration itself extends to many nations throughout the world. It's partly symptomatic of global population growth, partly symptomatic of the incapacity of our legislators to face a problem head-on and come up with good short and long-term solutions, as well as show some steely resolve in the face of pressure groups such as the pro-hispanic agitators trying to entitle themselves and their brethren to indiscriminately enter and do business and live within the United States at-will in lieu of actually rolling up their sleeves and solving their own problems effectively in Mexico. But, such are the times when legislators as well as the legislation they produce are effectively for sale, and the special interest groups that want neverending swarms of cheap labor really don't give a tinker's damn about our border, about our country's citizens, or basically anything that might impede or detract from their capacity to rake in millions of dollars per day. The issue of illegal immigration, and that of the US/Mexico border, is one of profit over principle, greed over good governance, and a matter of national interest for all that call the United States their home, whether newcomer or 7th generation. We have to have a good understanding of what's happening to our country demographically, politically, and economically, especially in light of the fact that the world population has grown at such an astronomical rate just in the last 80 years. It is forecast that the world will expand to some 9, possibly even 10 billion people by the year 2050. Failure to write and enforce good immigration laws NOW could have serious consequences in just 4 decades' time.
Should we deport 12 million people? I seriously doubt that that question would ever be put to a public vote...
Deporting 12 million illegals, is not impossible. Every agency just needs to pull together to find these bastards so we can successfully kick their @sses out!
I agree with you. We can and we should.
I sure do, in fact I'd like to head the effort.
Stop hiring them or giving them any assistance in this country. They will soon leave and go home. Stop giving babies automatic citizenship if their parents aren't citizens. Send all prisoners back to their own country. Seal the borders and make all people come here in a lawful manner. Why do we pay for homeland security if we can't even secure our own country?
The way you deport 12 million illegal aliens is the same way they got here...one at a time.
Prosecute and jail employers for hiring illegals and jobs will dry up. No jobs, no illegals. This will remove the reason for them coming.
Do not rent or sell houses to illegal aliens. This should not be allowed, they are ILLEGALLY here!!
Do not give ANY monetary assistance to illegal aliens for ANY reason.
If these 3 issues are enforced, we don't need to "bus" them back to Mexico.
Even if you do "bus" them back, as long as there's a REASON for them to return, they will!!!!
Remove the incentives and remove the illegal aliens.
I would love to see the laws enforced.
If the laws had been enforced, we would not have the problems that we have now with the illegals.
How long it would takes matters not. That enforcement takes place, that those in office and have sworn to uphold the laws of this country is what needs to be addressed.
The only laws that I would like to see changed is that those that circumvent the laws of immigration be not only fined but jailed for serious crimes against this country with no possibility for any type of 'good time' for early release possible.
Do away with 'anchor babies'.
Do away with any getting any sort of benefit for any gov. agency - food, medical, education, housing.
Enforcement is what is needed. It has already been proven that giving any sort of amnesty is not an answer - and has actually created more to the problem.
"I'm all in favor of keeping dangerous weapons out of the hands of fools. Let's start with typewriters."
Frank Lloyd Wright (1868-1959)
I agree. It won't happen overnight but it can happen.
However, it is CRITICAL that the border is secure prior to ANY attempt at deportation, otherwise they will walk right back in.
it's just like curing cancer. The earlier you start doing the right thing, the better chance you have at recovering. we are quite late with the treatment, but it is not all impossible.
I am sorry that I have to compare these people with cancerous cells, but in many senses, they are. There are millions of legal immigrants(past and present) who have brought energy, innovation, diversity to the "body" of this country. And let's be real, in the past ,there were great number of illegal immigrants from all countries who somehow sneaked in. But these people kept it quiet and some managed to pay their dues and get their citizenship. Never
was there a group as large as destructive, and most of all, shameless, as the current 15+ million(mostly Mexican)
that are eating away day by day all the healthy cells of this country.
It not that easy to find them, they usually use other ind entity, they usually move from place to place, Making they legal citizen is more easy because being a legal citizen they have to pay taxes if they work, but chasing them will cost a fortune to the government. So is about math, what is better subtract the money or add the money. For example is you have one dollar in you pocket which is better receive another dollar or give your dollar.
I think this is one of the most inhumane questions I have read on Yahoo.
Now, are you willing to report each and every "illegal" act you witness in the U.S.
When was the last time you turned someone in for littering? Do you know how much this problem costs us every year?
Did you turn in your neighbors for not recycling last week? Imagine how much money that would save us? The number of landfills that would not have to be created? The number or trees that could be saved?
What about the young mother that sped down the street the other day to pick up her kids from school on time? Did you call 911 and put out an APB for her?
Did you call protective services that last time you saw a kid sitting in a car without a seat belt?
Many of our so-called illegal aliens are performing jobs no one else in my neighborhood wants to do. I have found them to be hard-working people who simply want to participate in the American Dream. Do you know that many come from countries where there is no running water, no sanitation facilities, no refrigeration.
We have always been a country of compassion. A country that offers open arms for the less fortunate.
The global problems that would be created by suddenly lining up jets on the tarmac is mindboggling.
Sorry, I will continue to do what I can when I can to feed, clothe and support people who need it regardless of their residential status. The people I know came here because they had nowhere else to turn.
This is a difficult situation that does not deserve a hate-filled question on Yahoo.
Please, go read a book on anger management, followed by one on compassion. Maybe it is time for you to join a humanitarian group and travel to one of these countries so you can see what these people are escaping.
I think if we cut off their job supply, their subsidized housing, their food stamps, eliminate the "anchor baby" amendment, stop making babies of illegals born here American citizens, stop their free medical care, stop their free education...they will go the hell home. THEN whoever refuses to go will get rounded up and dumped over our brand new electrified wall along the border!
I think it may be possible, but with every effort of every agency.and of course US...YOU & ME we have to do our part to clean up our country. It will take a long time but first we close our borders, than we get rid of those who dont need to be here.
