How much native blood do u need have in order to be accepted as the first people of America?

are u still "native" if u are mixed...and how little of a mix is laughable ?

Answer:
Does not matter how much. If you are enrolled you are used as a count for Native American and that tribal affiliation. The tribes set the blood quantum needed to be enrolled. The Cherokee nation has the least blood line needed something like 64/180 which is practically nothing, but still they are one of the biggest tribes next to the Navajo and Tohono O'odham tribes.
Traditions remain the same whether or not you are half.

Be proud of your heritage that is all I learned and am happy as pie that I have the family I do. ;)
0.243435445 % is reguired. Its ALL laughable.
If a bunch of you are trying to open up your own casino, then it's going to take a lot.
Each nation has its own requirements. For many its one full-blooded grandparent, but each tribe makes its own rules for membership.
If its the same as African American, I think it's 1/8 and you have to prove lineage. Not positive though.
One Fourth
I don't think its totally up to AMerica. THe individual tribes make their own definition as well. The Cherokee actually define people at one time as being part of their tribe, if their forefather was enslaved by the Cherokee people. That would have been 0%. They change that rule and I think its underappeal.
Short of 100%, it's all arbitrary.

There are no human beings native to the American continents. We've all arrived here in waves of immigration - some of us earlier than others. I hesitate to use the word "native," but I will say that it's almost completely subjective and pointless to agonize over who is or isn't native.
None, the first people in America were from Europe and crossed the land bridge.
All native americans are dead and gone, just like the slaves that were here at one time. Using dogs for an example, I would think that if you are not pure bred, then you are not completely that type of dog. Therefore you are not an indian, if you have been corrupted by the white man. (called halfbreeds) You can't claim to be a doberman if you are part hound dog. So it would be my understanding that if your ancestors on both sides are pure bred, then you should be too. If not, then you are not, and should be considered a half breed. Thats the common logic.
I dont think it really matters how much
I'm like 1/16 native american..or 1/32..and I have mineral rights

I guess it is kinda laughable though
Ever hear of the Kennewick Man? The "fact" that the Native Americans were, in fact, Native Americans has already been disproved. The Kennewick Man was akin to the Ainu tribe from Japan, and if you had to compare him to either a European or an American Indian, you would find he had more traits in common with a European.
1/4 to get registered,,, (Navajo)..
Most tribal rolls will only accept 1/4 blood. My sons are 1/4 blood of 2 nations. So according to the BIA {Bureau of Indian Affairs}they are 1/2 blood. They can only enroll in one Tribe which they are enrolled members of the Ojibwa or Chippewa as white people call them. The band they belong to is Lac Du Flambeau.
A couple of pints!!!
That question has no logic. How can you be a native if you are mixed?

Judging by your avatar, if that really is how you appear in real life, I don't think you claiming even to be the US standard of 1/8 would fly with any tribe.
Every Nation has their own rules on the matter.I was loo king into it a while back.I am 1/8 Mohawk. They don't except me,it has to be at least 1/4 and you need four relatives who live on the reservation to stand up for you.So as far as the Mohawks are concerned,I am not a Mohawk.I know I am in my heart and that is all that matters.
