Many ppl enjoy immigration so then rich housewives can pay the "help" less, Pool Cleaners, would be cheaper and pretty much any hard labor would be more affordable..Blame the ppl who emply the immigrants if you want to see a change...dont blame the immigrants themselves..because in reality unless you are native american..ur an immigrant 2 :)
It was my understanding that ALL reputable employers are supposed to be checking that anyway, I believe they all use the "I-9" form for the INS to check your status as being either documented or undocumented.
Not much because most migrants will live on the smell of an oily rag to be in America.
It's a hard question to answer, but first, you have to make employers responsible for making sure they are citizens or have work visa's. Then, if you find an employer who works illegals, fine them big time.
There has to be a way to confirm someones status, then, punish those who wont or dont follow the law.
well, they - the businesses - generate W2s every year and those are sent to the IRS. The IRS knows which businesses have people working on a fictitious number. They know who employs illegals and who does not. What do they do about it? Not much apparently. The employer makes the excuse that he was fooled...it's just a crazy situation.
Trash the idea of no requirement to pay minimum wage. That will never happen, because you will definitely get a revolution then. Minimum wage is a law, telling an employer that is what they must pay a worker, at the least. All employer's should be allowed to have proof of citizenship, however, this probably won't work to cut down illegal trespassing, since so many illegals steal American identities. The meat-packing company? Remember?
They would look into other jobs such as house cleaning
I am unclear as to your question. Current law states that employers are REQUIRED to ask now. They just don't do it or cry that it's too hard. It is ILLEGAL to hire an illegal alien criminal.
A min. wage wouldn't have any effect on illegal aliens since it is illegal to hire them. There is no such thing as an "illegal immigrant." Immigrants come here LEGALLY. Illegal alien criminals are the problem.
Employers should be and I think are required to have new employees sign a paper that states they are a US citizen or have legal status to work in this country. If the employers have that piece of paper they are more or less off the hook unless a pattern of ignoring the known illegal status can be established. As for the minimum wage I disagree. How about our minimum be the maximum that can be paid to "questionable" employees?
All employers ARE allowed to do that, is just that some of them would not do it.
If you needed a service and you were able to cut the bill by 30-40% would you just pay the full price?

I think the question should be, Why do employers get to report Illegal wages for their advantage on their taxes?
They will hire whoever takes the job. This is a free market to a certain extent. If employers offer $3 dollars/hr then who else will work for such a measly wage?
Blame big business not illegals.
here is a solution Bush should of thought why not create more jobs across this globe. and give immigrators a good paying job. and give them a chance at a nice decent, free life.

FIRST of all don't give anymore visas to people coming from any of the terrorist countries. Examples: Iraq, Iran, Saudi Arabia etc.
SECOND Tighten our borders up so that most can't come over ILLEGALLY.
AND LASTLY: Open up the border to Mexico ( racists will not like this idea).But not totally still screen the people coming over here.
But when the border is opened up Mexico would have to help the U.S. especially with the airports there ( We should still be screening the airports and not letting in any peoples from terrorist countries.
People from terrorist countries will not like this so maybe we could just slow them from coming in to a trickle.
I think this idea would work but we still need to tweak it a little.
I think this would help Mexico's economy also. They need to straighten out their SYSTEM.
I'm not saying do it exactly like this but I think if we did try something like this maybe it would help our country from being attacked again in the future. It would also stop future sleeper cells from coming into the U.S.
Think about it.............
How about we just deport the illegal immigrants and tell them if they are caught in this country again, they will be sentenced to death. That sure as heck would stop illegal immigration. This is a fair way to handle that situation because Mexico kills all of their illegal immigrants. How ironic, huh?

You're wrong. Mexico won't help the U.S. They think that we owe them everything and they don't have to work for anything. It's a fact. Look at history or look at the present. You're stupid for even thinking that.
Employers are required now to check the status of the people they hire, and many times are fooled by the documents they are given, or just turn off the fact that they are not legal documents. Send the illegals back to where ever they came from and there would be no problem.
