I didn't know that the LA times stated these facts, but they have been cited in many other newspapers and broadcasts.
All of these facts are a given. That is one of the reasons that California is in the financial mess that it finds itself in.
By the way, here is another interesting little factoid. Many people complain that food prices would skyrocket without illegals to pick the crops for slave wages. That is not the case, however. Less that 5 % of the cost of fruit and vegetables is in the field labor. Even if they had to pay Americans $20/hr instead of the current $7 they are paying illegals, the cost of produce would only rise by 10%.

i haven't checked the l.a. times yet, but it sounds fishy to me, because it's ridiculous to come up with a number of illegal immigrants living in garages.

Speaking of the incident in Wisconsin,Wisconsin is also the home of Jeffery Dahmer the cannibal.I do believe he was white and a citizen.Also in Wisconsin a friend of mine was killed while on duty as a police officer by a deaf guy.So should I hate all deaf people for that?ONE incident doesn't make an argument.100 incidents don't either.I don't like all white people or black or asian and all have committed crimes.Grow up

Recently an illegal immigrant high on cocaine and drunk on tequila shot and killed a cop who pulled him over during a routine traffic stop in kenosha, wisconsin, 20 miles from where I live. He is survived by a wife and 7 year old daughter. The world war II generation would not put up with this, but why are we? I love America but hate what it's becoming.
