Question about permanent resident card?

Is it possible that I can apply for my ex-mom for a permanent resident card if I'm a US citizen and if so how long will it take for her to get the permanent resident card and how long she has to wait until she can apply for US citizen? Thanks

Answer:
ex-mom? if she is a parent you can petition her, but it would be hard if you're trying to say she is no longer the wife of your father. Family petitions are usually a bit shorter and they will get their resident card within a month of arrival in the US.
Check the USCIS website (www.uscis.gov) and search for family petitions.
if she is your ex-mother, I do not think that you can.go to USICS.gov and check the requirements.
Family relations are a priority for getting a green card but that will change though so you might want to hurry and file your mom's papers soon.
Ex mother?

If you were adopted then you cannot do anything for your natural mother. The law considers your relationship severed permanently.
