Is it hard for a Canadian to get a green card?
Answer:
you sound like a really smart kid at 15...
Ofcourse you can apply for a green card when you come of age,
but you certainly can apply for a student visa to study at the
Univ. of No. Carolina or Duke Univ. when you get to be a senior
in High School....Keep in mind that you are not eligible for
US financial aid so you must pay your own tuition in US$ and
these Universities you have chosen are very expensive....so give
that some thought....
Time to plan beginning now.....On top of tuition you have other
expenses, room and board, books, food, misc. etc.....Iam
not trying to scare you, I want to prepare you.....Once you receive
your degree you can apply for a green card and assuming
you studied something useful and needed in the USA you will
be sponsored by your employer.....There are shortages in
the medical profession and if you promise to work in a rural
area that has no health professional you will be accepted....
Hope I helped you a little because it gives you sometime to
plan and save for this wonderful future....God Bless....
If you want to work/live here one day-go to school and be a nurse. Hospitals will sponsor for you to come work here.
it's easy, you don't even have to speak English.
I used a lawyer to get my green card in a green card-lottery.
worked for me, but that was 15 years ago.
It depends on your education and skills. If you have a degree and/or work experience that there is a shortage of, there will be no problem. Examples would be doctor, nurse, and some trades people. You don't necessarilly need an American degree either.
Best of luck.
