How long does it take to get an appointment for the citizenship intervew and testing?

I sent my N-400 in the beginning of the year andI had my fingerprinting done back in the second week of June 2007.

Answer:
I'd say it's impossible to tell. It depends on a lot of things. Some offices are faster than others.

My whole process lasted less than 3 months, which I think was some kind of record.
I was interviewed in Atlanta.
.
Good luck. (Really) The whole passport snafu, has backed up everything, so is probably going to be a lot longer than you thought, or may have been led to believe .
It takes a while, my husband started his March 2004, got fingerprinted in June, and in December 2004 he finally got his interview. then two years later he had to refile to get his conditional status off and is now waiting for another interview. the whole process takes years! I met a couple and they have waited almost ten years now before she can become a citizen
