As a group they're no different than any other group. I work construction and I know Mexicans that bust a** from sunup to sunset and others that spend all day looking for reasons not to work. I can say the same thing about every other race you can name, some people are hard workers, some are lazy s.o.b.'s.

Yes because a majority of mexicans are blue collar workers whereas a majority of whites have office jobs. I live in Los Angeles so you have to remember that we have alot of illegals. They do a majority of jobs that americans would not touch.

Because they are individuals not people groups. Each one is capable of independent thought and action. They each make their own decisions and are responsible for their own actions. I've been discriminated against many times because I don't speak Spanish. The term "bi-lingual preferred" is a way of direct discrimination and it actually means that bi-lingual is mandatory. And, the bi-linguals that are taking many of the jobs that I would be happy to have, only speak broken English. But, for me to be hired by a company insisting on bi-linguality, I would need to be proficient in Spanish.

Company's hire illegal aliens because they work for nothing ,don't have to be covered by Workman's comp,don't get medical coverage and they ignore OSHA standards.. Not because they work hard.

So many of my rich friends told me the same story:
the Latino maids they had would always start working very hard and doing great, and then after they think they have their foot in the door, you start seeing the non-stop chatting on the cellphone when they were being paid to clean, and then there's this constant "confusion" with the time they are supposed to show up for work, then once they found someone who's stupid enough to pay them 2 dollars more an hour, they are out of sight for good!!
I know such people also exist in every other race in this country, but don't make all these illegals such angels just because they are too unskilled and uneducated to get other jobs that don't require them to scrub the toilet!!

Companies hire illegals because they do the job for less. You also have to remember that most illegals get paid under the table so taxes, health insurance and social security don't come out of their paycheck (therefore they get paid more than Americans would if we did those jobs)
I see hard workers on both sides. But Mexicans are more visible due to the type of work they do. Yes they do work hard- but they are doing the work that we used to do in the past.
Believe it or not they are not the backbone of this country. They are part of this country but I can not accept the big lie that they are ALL hard workers either.

I was born here and both my parents are from mexico. They both work hard and are now legal citizens my mother has been working at her job for 27 years and my father owns a car wash.They are both good examples of hard wokers. But to say illegals work harder may apply to many but not all because there is lazies as much as hard workers.
So don't just say "mexicans" SAY illegals.
