I am Republican because I also consider myself to be a conservative. Many criticize me for this since I support a legalization program for some illegal immigrants, but I look at it as part of the perfect solution for the problem. I disagree with illegal immigration, but also disagree with mass deportation. Most people only use emotionalism to treat the issue and say "Oh, they are invading our country, we must enforce the laws." Psh, I say shut up. We have to look for a LOGICAL solution, not one where we look forward to pleasing our sense of "justice."
This is a great question.I think the few Latinos who vote republican has to do with the platform of "family values" the republicans have adopted.Many Latinos and Hispanics believe in strong families, pro life, hard work, religion, etc..But what a missed opportunity for the republicans! They could really court this group, but they don't! Democrats court them much more, because they are a minority.I am a republican and Hispanic, but more and more, I feel shunned by many republicans..So I have distanced myself from the Republican party..In my opinion, Repulicans have missed the boat, they don't have the hindsight to see, what a huge demographic this group will be in the near future.!

I support gangs and drugs, I think cops and gangs ought to be made to work together to protect the rights and freedoms of the people of their area and control drug and vice trades for the good discipline and safety of all the people.

It's mostly regional, Cubans in Florida vote republican because the feel anger that kennedy a democrat didn't back the bay of pigs invasion. Most of the other hispanics vote democratic except those that are extremely religous and they vote republican based on faith issues.

When I worked for the federal government, the Social Security Administration during the Clinton regime, I saw management treat the spanish-speaking public badly. Racism in it's purist. Naturally, they were Dem's, so they felt entitled. Hypocrisy is hypocrisy, no matter where it comes from.
