Why do Republicans deny that Bush?

Most likely same way they are in denial about this so-called war umm occupation and his criminal activities.
Oh so this one time he had an idea that all the democrats were behind? Be freaking real here. Yes he supported it, but every democrats wants it. That is the FACT.
Because they hope if they deny it enough we will forget the truth and believe their lies. It's an old political trick that doesn't work too well now that everything is recorded.

Because they are UN-American and LIARS! They do what's best for their "party" and screw the people (so do the Democrats by the way)! We need to stand up and vote in someone with no "special interests" - ie., Ron Paul from Texas.

They also don't want to admit that he sucks as a president, and that he is one of the worst presidents in the history of this nation. I guess it takes a big person to admit when you are wrong.

Bush may have started the "amnesty" as you choose to call it, but t was mostly Democrats that backed the bill.

I am disappointed equally in both parties..and I think most of America would agree. Just look at the new gallup polls for congressional approval (14%) and presidential approval (20%).but thats not what you asked...as for the amnesty I am sure he did start all that junk, but even most of the Republican Party doesn't back him in his efforts. We need the parties of Right and Wrong..not the parties of Left and Right!

I may vote Republican but Jorge Bush is NOT "my man!" He hasn't been for years.
It's amazing how 85% of Americans could agree on one thing - NO AMNESTY. Too bad Jorge and Congress don't listen well.

Well, this is actually the second amnesty bill, it was passed the first time in the 80's.
That being said I haven't heard a single Republican say Bush started this bill. That's not to say that some haven't, I just haven't heard them. Oh, and just because someone is a Republican that doesn't mean that he is "our man".
One last thing, this amnesty bill is almost a carbon copy of the one that was passed in the 80's. Hell, Ted Kennedy dusted off the speech that he gave in the 80's claiming the bill would be a good thing and illegal immigration would be controlled if it passed for this bill.
While I know that Bush was responsible for the bill being pushed this time, my question for you is why do Democrats deny that they wanted this more than anyone (based on the votes)?
Cat, if the war is illegal then all of congress is guilty too since they keep funding it.
