Why doesn't Mexico value its people that way ?
Why do they encourage and almost force poor people to leave and go to the USA both legally and illegally.
What are your views on this .?

My husband was born in Mexico and came to the USA when he was 17. Even he tells me the government in Mexico is corrupt and so is the law enforcement. He says it will never change that's why so many family's come over and send money back or just never go back. The government has money, very wealthy like the US but unlike the USA they don't help their people in anyway. The USA has many, many programs to help the people like Medicaid, WIC, food stamps etc...
The Mexican government could careless about the people, it will never change.

I have long thought that the Mexican government should be ashamed that it's citizens have to illegally immigrate to another country just to eek out a living. I can't imagine that the American government would ever publish a pamphlet on sneaking across the Canadian border and getting an illegal ID and an "off the books" job.
The people of Mexico should stand up and demand better for themselves.
The government of Mexico definitely doesn't value its people (very few governments do). The reason for that is that governments consist of bureaucrats who are interested mostly in power, money and prestige. In Mexico the culture is based on Catholicism, which is a religion that does not value human life or human dignity.

It's easier to let them come here and send money home to their poor relatives than to take care of their people themselves. They are just being selfish, like our own government and corporations (aren't they the same thing now?) that profit from the presence of illegals, and they don't care what that's doing to our citizens.
The fact that so many want out betrays the government's stand on it's people. It's clear.
Costa Rica has universal health care due to social programs almost soley funded by the US,, Costa Rica is a smaller country with way less people than Mexico,,especially back in the 80's,, they also have the best universal education system in Latin America,,,which isn't saying much,,but they have English teachers sprawled out of every school district,,where do they get these teachers,,,the US and Canada mostly a good portion of which are volunteers you're allowed to drop out of school after grammer school in Cost Rica
but they want people to stay there to help the economy,,but still the vast majority would jump at a chance to flip burgers in the states to make fast easy dough,,to use to buy a nice Tv with satellite,,a new truck and a new girlfriend,,,tico life
Because it's all about Reconquista -- reclaiming the land that was supposedly "stolen" from them. They teach that in Mexican schools.
No, their government is piss poor, because they really have nothing to offer the world except corn products, and various vegetables, which are only good for income during certain parts of the year. Therefore their national income is very low. THey can't afford to do anything for their country. That's the real reason why everyone wants to leave. THey can't offer anything but cheap labor, and an infestation problem.
mexico encourages it's people to come here and send money into mexico. while they are making money for mexico they are trying to take land that does not and never did belong to them. we need to stop the invasion.
Mexico values its people more than any other country. That is why they want us to have a good life, even if it means we have to go to the US.

Mexico is oil rich and any profits are horrid amongst the rich.The majority of people are kept uneducated.The elected officials are corrupt and in turn the court system and police are just as corrupt.Go to Mexico and open a bank account and some time later try to with drawl it all.You will be lucky to get half.I personally knew someone who lost half of their account.The bank laugh at him.

No they could care less about their people. The people who run that country are so digustingly corrupt they don't even try to hide it. You get people with drug cartel ties being elected mayor of major cities like Tijuana. Mexico has some rich people and then tons of poor people w/o a sizeable middle class. It's just sad b/c that country is so corrupt. the politicians and business leaders make tons of money off the backs of poor people. Instead of paying them good wages and helping lift that country out of poverty they lowball their own people b/c they know they have no other choice and pay them so little they need to head to another country. The leaders and business people of Mexico love the fact that they can dump their poor citizens on us b/c they benefit. Relatives send money back home which helps keep the Mexican economy going; it's the 2nd largest source of revenue in Mexico after oil. So those corrupt leaders benefit from american money fueling their profits. And of course the rich or the govt doesnt have to provide any type of social services or help for its people b/c that is apparently america's problem and not theirs.
This is what happends when greedy rich people who could care less about anyone but themselves run a country. Honestly I think if America was completely controlled by the most conservative republicans, the ones that are against a min wage and paying workers good wages, that is how our country would look, policies that do nothing except benefit the wealthy and widen the gap between rich and poor. Not that I am saying a country run by liberal democrats would be any better, it probably resemble some socialists country like Venezuela or something.
Mexico values money, more than people...just like any other country including the US. If the US gov valued citizens more, they wouldn't send them to Iraq...Well, it seems that petroleum is more important than people. As far as universal health care in the US, I think it is gross that poor old people can't afford medicine, and they have to eat cat food. By the way, I have many friends from Costa Rica, they live in the US.
Being an American tourist to my favorite country of Costa Rica, I would say that is a false article, or biased. Costa Rica is stricken with poverty and the universal health care is not so quality driven. It may be free; but I would not trust it. They have the best exports of bananas and coffee plantations, though I don't drink coffee, I get it for my family and friends and oh boy.. they do love it. It is cheap to have a two week vacation there food is great and if you can afford the 1900 for two weeks go there and see for yourself how much "better" Costa Rica is from Mexico. No difference and they also have a problem with Nicaraguans crossing their borders illegally too. so constant poverty cycles plague them. Mexico is a wealthy country, as are most other countries; the people do not matter because the USA is the land of dreams and we are all millionaires; didn't you know..

Mexico is probably the wealthiest latin nation. They are head and shoulders above in military, natural resources, tourism, drug traffic, trade ect. However, the high (mostly white spanish decent) government couldn't care less about its native people, never has. President Fox himself encouraged mexicans to go north and send money back to help their economy. In Mexico your either rich or poor, not much middle class.
