Does my working visa start when I enter the UK, or when I start working?
Answer:
No - upon arrival is NOT a fact. Not in the UK.
Your visa is active from the day it is ISSUED. If a WHM visa is issued on 1/1/06 then it will expire on 1/1/08 - irresepctive of when you enter the UK. If you don't use it then you can't get another.
Your 12mths worth of permission to work under WHM regulations starts the day you start working for the first time (unless the visa expires before 12mths is over).
Upon arrival! This is fact!
On a side note, when you have your taxes done, you should be entitled to a full refund due to certain statuses.
Visa expiration typically is computed from the date of issue, regardless of when you enter the country. Your visa should have an expiration date posted on it.
Why don't you just forget the UK and try to improve your own country? We did that and made the best country on earth and I must say mass immigration will ruin it
from the day of issue
