I have a grand idea for stopping illegal immigration..?
Why don’t we all get together the unemployed, the beggars, the welfare beneficiaries (except for those who are severely handicapped), and offer them jobs in the tomato and chili fields, restaurant kitchens, garment factories, taxi cabs, parking garages, cleaning agencies for both homes and offices, janitorial services for public services? Then we could allow only enough Mexicans to perform the jobs that are left over but no American would be unemployed!
These jobs and others that share common features such as long hours, scut work, and low pay do not require special skills. This means that there will be No American Left Behind. Isn’t this a great idea? For those who spend their time whining about the illegals, they will enjoy more time doing leisure activities activities such as educating and playing with their child..

There is a flaw in this...
Americans dont want those types of jobs... they dont want to be constructions workers, or cooks, or hard labor workers... they would only do it if they got paid alot more...
The other flaw is that we let immigrants come over here and do the same jobs for less pay, the ones we dont want to do...
The last flaw is that because of the first two flaws, we dont do anything about it. Because if we deport all the immigrants, we then have to do all the work ourselves, and we still dont have jobs, due to our laziness... and stupidity...
I would certainly support that
So long as we
1. ship the illegals to their border
2. dig a big ditch
3. arm our border patrols
4. shoot those who try to cross it illegally
good luck getting welfare mom's and crack-head pimps to work anywhere at any time for anybody.
If Amerrcans start workin those jobs, the pay will go up and the hours will go down. Whay do you think I'm pushin the amnesty bill, genius?
Nothing prevents the unemployed from working in those jobs now. Maybe there are people who chose not to work.
I don't have a problem with granting amnesty.
One of the few thing Reagan did right. He granted amnesty in 1987.

A better idea would be to just fine corporations so much that it is more expensive to hire them. If they had no work they would go away.

Well if an American got those jobs their would be no more long hours, scut work, or low wages as the employers would have to fall in line and pay at the very least the minimum wages for a start, with raises and benefits to follow. That's all per State, and Federal labor, and wages rules.
To add - Do you realize that now some farmers are paying $9.00 an hour to start to work the fields? And they are still short of help to have them harvested? That for some areas of farming - the work is only seasonal?
How about if any and all businesses are mandated, and required by law to offer those jobs, and hire Americans, and Naturalized citizens first? Other countries do this, so why not the U.S.?
