Do you think that Illegal Immigrants should be given Amnesty?
Answer:
Unlawful Entry is a CRIME. Zero tolerance for immigration-law violators! No amnesty, no "stealth-amnesty." No "change of status," marriage fraud, "exceptional leave to remain," no "Temporary Protected Status." If you break the law, depart or be deported. Illegal aliens kill more US citizens each year than the war in Iraq has killed in four years. Apologists for illegal immigration like to paint it as a victimless crime. But in fact, illegal immigration causes substantial harm to American citizens and legal immigrants, particularly those in the most vulnerable sectors of our population--the poor, minorities, and children. Additionally, job competition by waves of illegal immigrants willing to work at substandard wages and working conditions depresses the wages of American workers, hitting hardest at minority workers and those without high school degrees. Illegal immigration also contributes to the dramatic population growth overwhelming communities across America--crowding school classrooms, consuming already limited affordable housing, and straining precious natural resources like water, energy, and forestland. Taxpayers are being forced to pay for the free health care, education, and other welfare programs being given to illegal aliens; Those tax dollars could be given back to U.S. taxpayers or used to keep our borders secure; They may be here illegally, but they sure know how to "work the system" to collect "free" medical care, "free" education, "free" food, Section 8 housing vouchers and other housing assistance, and hundreds of other social services. It costs citizens additional hundreds of billions of tax dollars at every level: local, state, and federal. It gobbles up billions of our charitable contributions. And much of that money ends up siphoned out of our economy and into offshore accounts. Illegal aliens, over half of whom work "under the table" with neither job nor income reported (nor taxed), are not counted as employed or unemployed. But some of those day-labor and off-the-books "job-lets" would be "real" jobs - available to American citizen job-seekers - if employment regulations were enforced. Illegal aliens can get away with tax evasion, et al., which citizens cannot. In short, we have too many workforce entrants and too few jobs created. The ratio works out to roughly 7-10 workforce entrants per job created. If all illegal aliens depart or are deported, all legal immigration halted, and all temporary employment visas abolished, we still have a problem with more US-born workforce entrants than new jobs created. Illegal immigration damages our country and our citizens every day at every level. And not even the attacks of 2/26 and 9/11 have awakened many Americans to the vast dangers illegal immigration poses to our selves, our families, our communities, our society, our values, our principles, our civilization. Zero Tolerance for Immigration-Law Violators! We must remember the lessons of 2/26, 9/11, and the costs we bear every single day. God Bless the U S A !

NO!!--Book'em Dano!!!
No. Because they are whining about paying a fine now.
NO! They should all be deported back from where they came from.
No. Giving the illegals amnesty is a slap in the face to all the immigrants who came here the LEGAL way.
no by our law they are here in our country illegally and our law states that they cannot be here. I think it unfair that when I go into another country I am under that country's law and they are here in my country and my "law" has done nothing about it. So I think that they should go home.
no amnesty
Yes, after they have cleared a complete background check, paid back all the benefits they received that they were not "entitled" to, and then we can talk,,,
Why should illegals get a free pass? They are being asked to pay $5,000. That does not begin to compensate for lost taxes down the years. It barely covers the costs of admitting them legally (I haven't seen the actual proposed bill so that may be an additional cost).
I spent $6,000 of my own money to come here legally and I haven't finished spending yet. I find it hard to accept that someone who has lived off the backs of taxpayers (most of them do, lets be honest) can come here illegally and end up with a better deal than someone who does it legally.
EDIT: For those who are deluded, it is not just illegal immigrants who take jobs that some Americans think are beneath them. I am a legal immigrant and came from the UK with many years experience in the accounting profession. My first job was selling fish in a supermarket - beside a Mexican (illegal as it turns out) a legal Mexican (who was a manager) and sundry Americans. My next job was in a bank, then a payroll company and now I have a good job working for a CPA. Like the legal Mexican, I have improved myself (in five years). Do you think there is a pattern here? I do. We do not need illegal immigrants. We have plenty of legal second, third and fourth preference hopefuls (family members of existing immigrants for those of you who don't know) who can take the illegals' places. Those people, more often than not, have an education that can only benefit America.
I'd love to know who the thumbs-downers are. Evidently, they are just hitting and running. They are certainly not answering the question - there aren't enough answers against amnesty.
NO the govermant is selling us people OUT and of course a usual we take it like sitting duck because nobody has the guts to do anything about it
No, they are illegal...period.
Also that "Amnesty" bill is riddled with North American Union through out it. They are even trying to cast out the SUPREME COURT AUTHORITY in it and start using a formed PARLIAMENT created from Mexico, the USA and Canada in it! Don't believe me then YOU read the PIECE of CR*P!

no.. i am against anything or any bill or law that doesnt at least do this

NO! I think the government has struck the easiest way to appear to control a problem and that is give it amnesty. They did that in the 1970's when eligible men were drafted for Vietnam. So many left that Nixon passed a law to get them to come back to America with no reprisal. Some believed it and came back - others did not and are still in Canada to this very day.
The question is complex. Are we really giving them Amnesty or trying to collect some money for something that 1. we need and 2. we can not stop. The debate is going to rage but everyone knows that the jobs that many illegal immigrants "take" are jobs that a majority of American citizens feel are beneath them and something they are not willing to do.
Ultimately I feel most people don't want competition for the welfare system that has enabled their complacency.
Sure, why not?
No.
No. In the USA we are made up of immigrants, as well is every other country in the world. I am a native born US Citizen - Born of other native born US Citizens and so on. This would make me a "Native American" Citizen. Allot of Lawsuits have been filed in the name of illegal aliens against our laws and Govt'. The aliens claim to have the same rights as US Citizens, to include the US Constitution and the Bill of Rights. Any normal person who arrives at somebodies house, invited or not, knows that they can't just act like it is their place, ie: go through the cupboards, eat what ever, lie on the bed, go through the fridge, grab the TV remote, wipe their boogers on the wall, etc. They would not have the same rights to these thing as the owner of the home would. We need to think of the USA as a huge home and the US Citizens are the owners. If you still are for the illegal aliens that's fine- you live with them, you support them, you feed them, you give up your job and your future children's benefits, you clean up their messes, you pay for their education and their children's education, and any other expenses that might occur from having them in your home- oh yeah no tax deduction either. Have fun.
