12 or 20 million illegals gonna pay $5000 each.?

lets say it's gonna be 20 million; so we gonna get $100 billion from this deal. Then pair that with the unknown cost of supporting the illegals...ended up we gonna have a surplus or deficit? What do you think?

Answer:
Deficit. The estimated cost is around 2.5 Trillion and some economists are saying that is conservative. Long range effects? Immeasurable, the Social Security system is already broken and the educational system is feeling serious pressure.
Since the net benefit of illegals to the US economy is positive anyway, it's all gravy if they also pay 5K.
You don't really think we are getting any money out of illegal aliens.
Like they are really going to pay that.

Do you know we will end up paying that because they will come up with something that they can file, claiming low income status or something?

Then the taxes will be paying the fines for them.
They all aren't going to pay. More of them are going to go further underground because they aren't going to feel like they should have to pay. If they thought they had to pay, they would have done things the legal way in the first place.

But we will have a deficit. See, when these illegals become legal, they will be subject to the fair and legal minimum wages the federal government requires employers to pay, as well as all of the other things that they are required to do. Won't this then make them unemployed because they will cost employers too much to keep employed? Now we have a market for more illegals to come into this country and fill the shoes of the former illegal - now legal immigrants.

Amnesty isn't the fix - it is only the fix-a-flat. It is very temporary.
It is a silly idea. Nearly all are working for very low wages. Where are they going to get $5000? Besides, who will do the work if they were not here? Regards, Quahill.
Marks my words few or any illegals will be paying anywhere near $5000. There will be so many waivers because of hardships the illegals will be getting refunds
Legalization will cost trillions.

On a cost issue, it is a very bad idea. There are other factors but that isn't one. That is why before any legalization occurs, we need the situation solved going forward.

PS. The new bill doesn't seriously even TRY to do that.
It won't be 6 months before all the whining and crying about how unfair the amount is will result in a recommendation to do away with the fine, while billions of dollars are being sent across the border to prop up the economy of Mexico.
Would you turn yourself in and pay $5000.00? I wouldn't. And you can bet less than 1% will. This bill is a joke and so is anyone who thinks Good of Bush after what he said today on T.V. He more or less call Americans lazy.3 Times he said the same thing" illegals are doing job Americans are not". This is not True MR. Bush. I and most all AMERICANS( legal) Are some of the hardest working people in the world. Does He hates is own country?
