How much money is being sent to the Mexican economy by Mexican workers in America?
Answer:
I know I had a friend/co-worker who turned out to be an illegal from Coloumbia. he sent everything to his family... barely kept enough to pay rent and eat. Walked everywhere... had 2 sets of clothes and slept on the floor of his 1 room apt.
I can understand *this* kind of illegal immigrant... its the ones that want free social security, welfare, etc... that piss me off.
I was sad when I found out... didn't even get an address so we could stay in touch... he was just all of a sudden gone one day...
i think the money is sweated for ,and earned down to every penny,go work and u will get paid ,nothing is free pal
Last I heard it exceeded $16 billion a year.
I DON'T KNOW BUT i KNOW IT AS TO BE A LOT.

Since January, 2006 $30,497,658,194 and climbing. Go to the link to see the changes. That is just Mexico.
About two yrs. ago I heard a talk show, radio host say what that amount is (immigrants sending $$ back to Mexico).
I'm sorry I can't remember the amount but it was astronomical.
I was amazed. Your follow up question is a good one. I think you've hit on a very good idea. I, for one, think to much money goes to other countries while I'm struggling to pay my health insurance costs & worrying about social security staying alive.
America doesn't need to stimulate its economy. Jesus.
edit:
Parklin, your answer is incredibe. You're worried about health care and social security? That's funny. Why don't you try living in Central Mexico for a couple of years and then talk about your "struggles". You can't be serious.
I understand it will be $62 billion this year, once again the largest source of foreign revenue for Mexico, after oil.
I wonder how they can afford it?
